thanks for all the great work jason! much appreciated! now that you have your hands on the GT, id like to ask a few questions:
how does the 19" back & 18" front layout look? is there any other benefit of that layout other than an aggressive looking stance? and has the bose audio system been changed at all (besides removal of the tape deck)?

..so they finally put on the RE050's. probably only comes with the rays forged wheels =(

It'll be interesting to see how much more the new Rays and tires weigh in comparison to the original Rays considering that the wheels are much wider now.

Huh... thought those new Rays were only for the Track... interesting. Might make these wheels easier to get a hold of if they're coming on the GT as well. Pics, please!

Isn't it pretty much optioned out like the '05 35th anniversary model (except the wheels)?

the brembo calipers look more metallic on the 06 model...

yes the 03-05 NISMO Exhaust will fit the 2006...

all previous nismo parts will work...

i would not recomend the NISMO Cams on the 300HP motors...

Jason you are THE BEST. Thank you soo much for all the info. I am getting more and more excited. My whole family is getting sick of me talking about the Z ;-)
We are planning a little vacation in January to CA flying to SF and driving down the coast and fly back to the winter in MA from SD. That brought up the idea to get my Z there and have it shipped back to Boston. I want the interlagos fire as a Track and get some Sparco seats and maybe some other goodies.
Does this idea sound dumm? should I just get it somewhere here? How much would the shipping be? Any opinions are welcome

The GT is essentially the extension of the model line for the 35th's niche.

Therefore, a GT is essentially a 35thAE with the different/staggered rims, bi-xenon lights, LED tails, new air dam, interior upgrades (more cupholders, chrome accents on dials, etc), and different head unit (mp3 capable).

Compared to the Track, the Track model doesn't have the Bose nor does it come with leather seats. The '03-'05 Tracks didn't have automatic seat adjusters, seat warmers, or heated outside mirrors (found on the Touring and 35th), but I'm not sure if these were added for the '06 Tracks.

it could be done... freight would be probably 1000-1400 depending on how it is sent, but the price may be higher since the last time I shipped a car... :-/
