I was hesitant whether I should make this post, but maybe it has some merit.

He knew of my order (probably because of my unusual name) and confirmed my thinking that I could possibly expect my Z around the 1st of October rather than mid September.
That must've been a good feeling to have the Nissan Rep actually know of your order. I was also kind of lucky in that regard, in that at the bottom of my Buyer's Order, it had instructions for the dealer on where to fax or email the completed form to. I have since been able to email my Nissan Rep, just to clarify certain things, that I figured my dealer wouldn't be real motivated to find out for me.

PS: I just noticed you live in Sonora. My dad used to live in that area. Do you get over to Columbia much? My dad was kind of an icon in the old mining town.

I actually live 10 miles east-up the mountains from Sonora and drive a very crooked road (Big Hill) from our home to Columbia. Columbia is a special village and of course is noted for it's gold mining history, as is Sonora. We go there often. There is a winery (Ironstone) in a nearby town (Murphys) that houses a 44 pound hunk of crystaline gold that was found in the Jamestown area in 1992. Jamestown is just 3 miles from Sonora. With that hunk of gold you could buy many 350Zs and have some money left over to pay for the premium gas...currently $1.90 cents per gallon in the Sonora area.
Rocketscientist...
There's a good chance that you have seen my dad I imagine. He would spend alot of time in Columbia; doing 'still life' as a miner in front of one of the old stores, or playing his Kazoo in some of their musical events. He taught at classes at Columbia University, performed in the Sonora Repertory Theatre...basically loved the Tuollomme area.

I-80 in Western PA would be an awesome drive during autumn. Nice mountainous terrain and good scenery. If you are ever in the Harrisburg area, there are some really nice mountain roads near Dauphin, they used to use them for road races back in the day. I plan on taking my car up there for some spirited driving once its broken in.
