Default Anyone know why my '06 Grand Touring doesn't hava a TCS switch?

I just bought a beautiful 2006 Grand Touring coupe and was looking through the manual as to find out how to turn off both the VDC and TCS. As I looked in the spot where the switches are to be, all I find is a switch to turn off the VDC, and a blank next to it where I imagine the TCS switch should be.

It made me double check the features of the car, but as I thought, the 2006 Grand Touring comes with both VDC and TCS.

Does the VDC switch shut off both, or did I not get the TCS installed like it was supposed to be equipped from the factory?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

VDC includes TCS; just one switch.

Thanks for the reply, but don't TCS and VDC have two different purposes? TCS is to control traction on the rear wheels and limit the fuel input to the engine when it senses slippage. .

VDC on the otherhand is there to correct for driver mistakes when it's sensors determine the car is about to lose control and corrects this by applying the right amount of braking to each of the wheels separately.

To combine these into one shutoff switch makes some sense, but they do serve separate functions and I would have liked to chose which I wanted to turn off(mainly the TCS). The light on my dash states only the VDC is off, nothing about the TCS. I would think that if Nissan puts both in a car, they would state they are combined into one switch

Very interesting...

Even the Coupe Tourings/Performance/35th, and Track Model only have the VDC button as well. TCS is incorporated into VDC.

My touring ZR doesnt have VDC just TCS.

TCS is subordinate to VDC. If you turn OFF VDC, you turn OFF TCS. TCS helps control rear wheel spin during hard acceleration: that’s all.

Likewise. I have just TCS. Looks like I have to drive the car by myself without the help of a computer. Can you imagine.

Is it me or does it seems to be really sensitive? Sometimes I really wonder why it starts going and other times I wonder why its not. I gunned it im my work parking lot this morning and got a little squeel then the SLIP light came on and took away my fun. I just need to drive with it off for a couple to see the difference.
