Default Burn't clutch, pressure plate and flywheel

Hey Folks,
I'm looking for some feedback on my 05 350Z 35th anniversary model. I've put 7000 km on it and 5000 km were driving across Canada. After about 5000 km the clutch pedal would stick in a ways for a short time. I didn't take it in to the dealer as I work away alot and didn't think it was that big of an issue.
Nissan will not cover this as they do not beleive me.
Is there anyone that has had a similar issue?

Josh, you made a mistake, in my opinion....You should have at least phoned and or driven to your dealership.....That way, they could have at least test driven it and been aware of the problem..
Now, it looks like you might have to just pay for a clutch and flywheel.....
That's one of those situations where, it is what it is....

I have trouble understanding why your dealership will not replace the parts on the practically brand new car. The fact that you didn't tell them early on shouldn't have an impact on warranty coverage.

Just be real nice about it and take it to another dealer who will fix it.

Pressure plate, clutch disk and flywheel are not covered by Nissan no matter how it gets ruined. You might call Jason of Jeff at Performance Nissan just to get a second opinion. I feel that whatever they say its the last word.

Not sure about that... when I got my tranny replaced under warranty, they also replaced the clutch pressure plate. Didn't say why and I never mentioned anything to them about it, but apparently it must have had either substantial wear vs. mileage... or it had hot spots. But that is what he told me when I picked it up, "we also replaced the clutch pressure plate while replacing the transmission". Who knows, maybe they thought my transmission (synchros) going bad caused the wear or hot spots, etc.

Thanks, this may be a good plan. Yesterday, I was trying to explain the pedal sticking in to the Service Manager but he would not listen to me, his mind was made up that it was abused (he lost it) but I kept my cool and walked out. I feel he has made this a personal issue so now if there is a problem with the clutch linkage they may fix it and not let us know so it would appear he was right. Am I being paranoid here?

my clutch just went. i have 5600 miles on it. i had the same isdsure of clutch sticking a while back and never took it it due to not having ne time... i took it tot he stealer today and they told me they wouldnt kno if it was warenty untill they dropped the tranny. and at the point they got me by the *****... so i said whats worst case senario... service manager was a dick and didnt wanna hear that i had 3 cars with a 6sp, and in over 100,000 miles i have never changed a clutch i also ride bikes and drive trucks all with manuals. but since im young( 24) he thinks i abused it. he said he just had a older man in his 50's or 60's come in with 4800 miles and had to replace the flywheel also, and they robbed him for 2300 bucks.. i said give me my keys. im gonna call nissanUSA tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind
ne 1 have ne ideas? or new clutch i should get? i do not abuse the car, dont run it at the track, occasionally i do a whole shot, i do not grind the clutch, if im not shifting gears my foot is off the pedel

i want a clutch thats not too hard to depress, but also 1 that can withold a little abuse , this is my every day driver

thanx
