Well, i guess you should be disableing the power steering and power brakes since After all, that's just practicality. A good ole fashioned sports car doesn't require them.
And since my best time is almost a full second faster than yours, i am positive that you will only be seen from the rear view.
With that trap speed and 1/4 time, it appears that you are all over the track instead of a straight line.
Inferior how? What exactly makes it inferior? B/C you think it's more fun to shift doesn't make it inferior?
Extra steps make it more fun? Well, i prefer to simplify my life, not complicate it.

The F1 ferrari's and BMW SMG's work by an automated clutch. Even though there isn't a pedal it's still there and the computer pops it for you really really fast. But those cars also have an "auto" mode where it drives just like an automatic in "D". However the Ferrari Enzo doesn't have the auto feature so you are stuck with the padles all the time. Audi's DSG is also a cool tranny to have. Imagine if the Z came with that....

Sometimes it just as simple as people having a difference of opinion and has nothing to do with insecurities 
If you have to tell yourself that to make your choice more acceptable to you then [Tony the Tiger]Grrrrrrreat[/Tony the Tiger]...See, we can all throw amature psychology around...Just because you tell yourself AT's are better or that AT makes a true sportscar, thereby ignoring facts, doesnt make it so..Again there is reason why in almost every automotive test the MT comes out on top of the AT version of any car.Usually by more than a second and a few mph faster..Its the journalists, professional drivers and sportscar afficianados choice of tranny. No amount crying about so-called "insecure" MT drivers is going to change that fact.....What do we have to be insecure about anyway?...We are faster, stock to stock, in a straight line and around a roadcourse...Sometimes you have to deal with facts head on even if it doesnt support your way of thinking...You cant just stick your head in the sand and pretend the real world doesnt exist

I also agree the MT is almost always faster in the right hands. Every MT driver can drive an AT but the reverse is not always true. I am just saying you don't see the best MT drivers on this forum responding to this flamewar, nor do you see the countless 5at drivers responding and I argue the reason they don't is b/c they could care less.
If you look in my history you will see that I have gotten involved in this flamewar a lot in the past but I have since gotten over it. Just wanted to point out what is at the root of this debate thats all.

Why is everyone even talking about this whole MT vs AT thing....come on people who cares it's a Z. I've driven MT all my life and when it came time for a new car I poped for the AT. Heck I get tired of driving home late because my girlfriend doesn't know how to drive a MT, and I live right up the road from a racetrack, and have seen guys with MT make complete idiots of themselves trying to "shall we say (shift like the pros)", and still get outrun by the auto's. 
I got an automatic because everything I do is "automatic!!!!"
Sell Mortgages? That's automatic. Sold $80MM in 10 months WITH increasing rates.
Eat a 32 ounce porterhouse with 3 pints of Guiness and still have room for dessert? Automatic.
Challenge me in Madden? Automatic win for me. No question. I'll even give you +14 and I'll use the home town Niners and Cody Pickett
Head to head Texas hold'em? Your chips are sliding to my side of the table. That's automatic. I don't care if you're Johnny "F'n" Chan
Half court shot on one leg and blind-folded? No problem. That's automatic every time even with my non AT-shifting arm.

At the end of the day we all drive Z's or G's. Some AT's like DayBlueZ's are pretty d@mn fast while others with MT's say their Z's are superior but they don't post their track times.

Traffic was a big part of my choice and I guarantee you don't put up with the traffic I put up with. From my lady's office to the freeway entrance took 35 minutes the other day.. Total distance 2 miles! After 15 minutes I could still see her office in my rear view! Finally got on the freeway, then guees what? More traffic! Took almost an hour to get home and we work and live in the same city!
When people ask me what I am for Halloween, I am going to tell them I am dressed up as an MT sports car driver and I rule the streets! Woo hoo! I'll be sure to wear my driving shoes and scuff up the bottom of the left shoe so it looks like I was stomping on the clutch all day. Then I'll show off my left calf and how much bigger it is from my right.

i bought an auto Z because i don't know how to drive stick and i don't care to learn either. there isn't even that much traffic here. im just an automatic driver.
oh and im one of those guys that drives a nice automatic sportscar around town just to show it off. im young, im a jerk and i drive a nicer car than most peoples dads.
