Default 06 Clutch Problem

I haven't noticed the noise you described and I am at 1300 miles on my '06. I do have a very annoying clicking noise when I push in my clutch. It only happens in the top 5 percent of the range and doesn't happen all the time. But I can feel it in my foot when it happens. I seem to notice it more in the wet but maybe that is just wishful thinking. If it doesn't go away this week I am going to set something up at the dealer. Anyone else experience this??

Actually, I find the clutch pedal on my 2003 Z to be pretty solid. Out of the 3 MT cars I have owned, E36 3 Series BMW is by far the worst.

I've had that clutch popping issue for a while and I have an 03. I took it to the dealer and they either couldn't replicate it or didn't want to. the supposed solution is to replace the whole clutch pedal assembly.

I think he's talking about the clicking noise from the clutch pedal.

I can hear the throwout bearing noise and I actually kind of like it now

My R1 made the same bearing type noise. At first it drove me nuts but now it's kinda neat. It goes well with all the other noises the Z makes,, like 7,000 RPM and a Pop Charger

The click sound I occasionaly get when I depress the clutch annoys me way more than the bearing noise. At least the bearing noise is consisitant.

No problems here cept if I shift into 5th real fast (like during a spirited drive) it has grinded once or twice, and the clutch was fully disengaged for a fact... but other than that and the high clutch engagment point, this car is amazing. (6000 miles)

I've had my 06 since November and I have had that same noise from about 2500 miles on. It's not always constant but pretty regular. It almost sounds as though something needs to be oiled or something. I had the same noise in my 96 Altima.

I have a nasty whine in first gear (which i'm going to take into the dealer for), and also in 6th at 80mph+ but I think thats my rear end. Why I bought a 06, i'm not sure.

I just picked up my 06 Enthusiast last night and after driving on the freeway for about 10-15 minutes, I noticed the clicking/resistance in the clutch pedal. It seems to happen when the pedal is released quickly. Releasing slowly I don't hear it. <----tested while stopped, not while driving

Can we assume that this is just a noise and not an actual mechanical problem?

Terry

Hey I have that whine/whistle above 75 mph in sixth. It gets more high pitch as I speed up, but if I get off the gas or give it some more gas, it goes away. I think its the rear end as well, I think Im going to take it in soon. I bought an 06 thinking the transmission problems were worked out, but I guess I was wrong.

That is exactly what I am experiencing. I have only had my car since the end of Feb. Kind of annoying but guess since most people have experienced it I won't be concerned. Thanks for all the input.

Just a couple more weeks before you get to experience all things Z. Great color choice, by the way!

So my 06MT was dropped off at the dealer last night. A tech drove it this morning and when I called to see if my problems could be replicated (difficulty with shifting into 1st or 1st to 2nd while cold) and I got a vague answer. Neither yes or no, just that the tech wanted to let it get cold again so he can give a diagnosis. Shouldn't it be a simple yes or no? Did it grind or not?

They better not be taking my baby out during lunch!
