Hi, in the very near future (hopefully this week) I'll be buying a brandnew '06 Z! Since I have a 9 month old daughter I'll need to have the passenger airbag cutoff switch installed or else she'll never get to ride in this car.

So I've been talking to several dealers and asking specifically how much they'll want to install this before I actually agree to buy a Z from them. I've gotten several estimates ranging from $546 to over $700. That seems high to me for basically an on/off switch!

BTW, the cheapest place broke down the cost to $187.89, harness $70.55 and labor $288.00 for a total of $546.44.

Anyone here get this installed? If so, how much was it and for what year? Also they mentioned getting some DoT papers filled in--was this a pain or easy? Thanks for any information!

Yeah, it happens sometimes. i believe I asked about it once and didn't find my thread, but those should do the trick. I ended up not getting it done (yet anyway). I keep finding better things to do with $400-$600 you know, heh.
