350z promo film on DirectTV
Came across this today;
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine...n_id=rss_magzn
Has anyone seen this 4 minute promo film on the Z on DirectTV?? What Channel?When?
I haven't been able to find anything on it.
As a result, "the traditional prime-time TV placement of 30-second ads is dying a fast death," says Fred Suckow, marketing director at Nissan North America Inc. (NSANY ). The auto maker still spent $721 million on TV ads last year. But Suckow says he is more excited about the four-minute promotional films on the 350Z sports car and Titan pickup truck he has been running on DirectTV's (DTV ) program menu, which consumers have to click on to watch. In one of the splashy recent announcements, NBC said it would provide the DirectTV satellite network with programming.

I think this is the same commercial you guys are looking for.
If you have a TiVo, check out the feature commercial called "Making of the 350Z Commercial". It's about 4 minutes long. If you have some other commercial, just force the TiVo to do an update and you'll get it.
It basically gives you the director's thoughts and how they came up with the commercial (you know the one where the Z is just ripping through the streets of L.A. and the goofy music playing). Also showed some scenes not in the commercials. The best part was the director describing the way Rhys Millen (yup, a good hire to do the driving) was flying through in the Z and almost getting up into the camera from behind and hearing the engine just ROAR. They showed the scene as he was describing it and it just gets your adrenaline going.
Also showed Millen's thought about the Z and it seems he really really loves it - but it is a Nissan commercial.

I can extract things from the "Now Playing List" on my HDTIVO but not sure how to get at the advertisement directory.
I have made a post on the 'special' tivo website asking how to get at this because I just watched it and it is pretty cool.
A real keeper.
I'll post back if/when I have any luck getting it off.

Do a Google search for "The Run 350z DVD" and you'll find the second best promotional DVD out there for the Z. And it's only $10.
The 1st best promotional DVD out there for the Z is Best Motoring International #6: The 350Z Shock!
Cheers!
