Default 350Z or Alfa Romeo GT?

I'm currently shopping for a new car.
After filtering all the choices that are within my budget and that I like, only two possibilities remained:
Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 - 240 bhp
Nissan 350Z GT - 280 bhp

Wich one should I choose?

Thanks for your opinions.

The alfa has 4 seats and is more confortable than the Z.

The Z is sportier and more powerfull than the alfa.

Both cars look great, but I like how the Z looks more.

i love my Alfas

had a fully modded 156 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...e/119_1982.jpg

and was planning on upgrading to either a 3.2 GT or 156GTA, but then i went and drove a new Z, and the drive is just on another level, with fwd the Alfas just cant hope to match the same power down, steering feel and chassis balance as the Z. The only advantage is Alfa V6 engine sound, but to be honest, with my exhaust mods, the Z now sounds better

having said that, ill give the Z the flick when Alfa release a higher powered version of the Brera

perhaps go for the 3.2L Brera......only 260hp but 4wd

I'm planning on test driving both cars.
I love the Z, but the one thing that's keeping me from buying it right away is reliability problems in earlier models, I don't know if nissan fixed them.

By the way, your 156 looks great.

Your worried about reliability and you are looking at an Alfa. Everyone I know of has more problems with the Alfas than Nissan has had with the 350z all years combined. You need to come up with a better reason than that for not buying the Z. I admit the styling on the Alfa is great but the Z has as good as if not better looks and definetly better mechanicals.

You're right about alfa's poor reliability. But they improved with every new model starting with the 156.

Did nissan fixed reliability problems in newer Z's? (05-06)

I hope your modded alfa didn't have those rims. I'd be embarressed driving around with those rims on.

I used to have modded Alfa... And to sum it up, if you dont care about frequent dealership visits go with AR. Those cars are great, but they tend to break down a little to often

ah yes that is my Alfa, and they are original Alfa 17" wheels off the GTA model, made by Speedline in the UK

ill assume then your interest in cars doesnt extend to the old Alfas and Lambo's of the 60s and 70s. The telephone dial alloys were unique to those marques (even Porsche copied them on their old Carreras and 928s), and still being used today by Alfa and Lambo, our facelifted Murcielago has a version of phone dial wheel too

hell even the beloved Volk copied them with a few versions of the telephone dial wheel

Definately not my taste of rims. It looks like some Lego rims. And you are right, I would not purchase any 60's or 70's era car if I had the chance.

It's wierd how taste change, I used to love the Contach, now I can't stand it, I'm in love with the Gallardo

But we are getting off topic.

PS: I visited Turkey twice and man they love their Alfas. I also saw many exotics there. Lots of rich people there.

yeah thats fair enough, each to their own......its prob just different cultures. Our Aussie journos arent a fan of US cars

The italian marques are big on heritage though

If you look at the interior design of Alfas from the 60s through to today, theyve always retained the cowled main dials, 3 centre console gauges, round airvents - that almost every Jap car is copying these days....

where do u think Nissan ripped the interior design from the 240Z from........Alfa. Even Ferrari used most of Alfa's design traits when they started building road cars
