Smile My Z officially ordered yesterday (Jan 7)

it officially went in NNA computers yesterday. I ordered throught the dealer on Dec 7, 2002, BUT I just missed to CPO system by about less than 1 week, so had to wait a whole month for the system to open again. I know I can get Z's now at MSRP, but my family is partners in the dealership, so I get it wholesale, I will wait to save the $$. I CAN'T wait, already have Z pics all over my house, screen saver, Auto Art die-cast, and HPI 1:18 RC RS4 car w/ Z-body. I have this Z "bug" like people use to get with 911s.

now the only hard part is to wait the 2-3 months

Congrats. I just ordered mine today...SB Enthusiast 6MT with only floor mats and trunk mat. Irvine Nissan said about 15 weeks for it to come in.

I have a set of 19" Bronze TE-37's and Tein Flex coilovers coming in while i wait. The car and mods might arrive at the same time.

This is my first post so it's also an opportunity to say hi to all.

Jim, DId you order it from the dealer on Thurs, if so it may NOT officially be ordered for another 4 weeks, since Nissan only open their system 1 time a month and that time for my dealer was Wed the 7th (unless everybody has different days, which for your sake, I hope they do, I had to wait 4 weeks before it officially got ordered, it is frustrating knowing that they have the order but NOTHING can be done until the CPO system opens up for the deal to order it).

rodH,
When I originally went in to work out the numbers before finalizing the order and interest rate, the salesman said that i may have just made the cutoff. Either that or knowing that I wouldn't make it, he may have quoted me the 15 weeks which is like 4 months or about a month later than what other people have said they would receive their cars. Whichever way...i waited 6 months to even decide that i wanted the Z so it's not really killing me yet...unless my wheels and coilovers come in first.

No i didn't. The dealerships i went to were either offering MSRP or over MSRP.

I may have been able to deal on the 4 Z's that were already there but they were tarted up with crapola that sent the sticker up to $40k...but i didn't want those and probably would've been out of my budget regardless.

that is the problem with ALL new cars that are introduced the auto maker usually sends out the more expensive models first and then the dealers add the goodies after that.
