Default what exactly does the dealer do for the 30k maintenance?

i'm out of town right now and i dont have my owners manual. I'm a few hundred miles away from hitting 30k and was wondering what needs to be done a 30k miles. I really dont want to pay a dealer to do it if its just a few simple things.

The bigger question is does this have to be done by a dealer to keep the warranty in effect or can one simply do the work himself?

Thanks for the list. The only items I see that are worthwhile are:

lube-change oil and filter
transmission fluid change
replace air filter
change radiator coolant

No. Your warranty book explains who can do the recommended maintenance.

Inspecting and adjusting is ridiculous I'm not paying 450 for the three above mentioned...

change radiator coolant and adjust fans are the only things i wouldnt do myself. How much does the dealer charge for the 30k maintenance? I bet its something rediculous.

Your paying them to check for things to sell you, and half the things they say they check don't exsist on your car. And if they did find anything wrong under warranty they would NOT fix it or tell you about it. Waste of money.

If it's anything like my dealership, it's a ridiculous amount of money...they wanted over $400 for the 30k service! Rather than going to the dealer and paying out the ****, I took it to a to a highly reputable independent shop. They did the entire 30k service for me and only charged about $110.

One question, if you dont do the 30K maintenance at the dealer and something goes wrong after 30K would they still honor the 36k bumper to bumper warranty, I have a gold warranty package that bumper to bumper til 75K.

Yes, it's rediculous.

Got an e-mail from my dealership today reminding me that I may be due for a 48,750 mile service. Does that kind of service even exist?! 48,750 is such a random-sounding number that I can't help but think this particular service is just something the dealership invented (obviously to vacuum more money from people's pockets).

Today I inquired about this 30k mile check-up as I am 3,800 miles past it and was concerned...well I elimnated everything except this: Induction system service $135.00.

Dealership says it involves power flush and clean fuel injectors, clean and lube throttle body, test fuel press., fuel lines, and flow test injectors. Is this really neccesssary at ~32k or can it wait until 50k?
