i'm out of town right now and i dont have my owners manual. I'm a few hundred miles away from hitting 30k and was wondering what needs to be done a 30k miles. I really dont want to pay a dealer to do it if its just a few simple things.
includes:
lube-change oil and filter
transmission fluid change
replace air filter
change radiator coolant
clean and adjust rear brakes
inspect CV boots
rotate and balance tires (obviously not applicable on the Z)
adjust fan belts
battery service
adjust tire pressure
adjust fluid levels
check AC system
inspect front brake pads
check all lights
inspect fuel lines and hoses
inspect exhaust system
inspect front suspension
inspect rear suspension
inspect steering components

change radiator coolant and adjust fans are the only things i wouldnt do myself. How much does the dealer charge for the 30k maintenance? I bet its something rediculous.
Your paying them to check for things to sell you, and half the things they say they check don't exsist on your car. And if they did find anything wrong under warranty they would NOT fix it or tell you about it. Waste of money.

One question, if you dont do the 30K maintenance at the dealer and something goes wrong after 30K would they still honor the 36k bumper to bumper warranty, I have a gold warranty package that bumper to bumper til 75K.

Does that kind of service even exist?! 48,750 is such a random-sounding number that I can't help but think this particular service is just something the dealership invented (obviously to vacuum more money from people's pockets).

Today I inquired about this 30k mile check-up as I am 3,800 miles past it and was concerned...well I elimnated everything except this: Induction system service $135.00.
Dealership says it involves power flush and clean fuel injectors, clean and lube throttle body, test fuel press., fuel lines, and flow test injectors. Is this really neccesssary at ~32k or can it wait until 50k?
