Default No Nav...What is in the dash????

If you don't opt for the NAV what is going to replace it? Will it just be dash board? Any thoughts. Thanks

From the pictures i've seen so far. It looks like there will be a storage space in place of the NAV if you don't get it. The storage space will have a cover though.

No problem man. Thats one of the things post ****** are good at, lol. Keep in mind that I could be wrong. That is just what I have gathered from what i've seen so far and how other Nissan and Infiniti cars are set up.

if they did have air vents, you know how ugly that'd look, especially with air vents on the side of the center console?

wow.

when i asked my dealer about that he said that the radio is moved up into that slot. Yeah right! Thats pretty expensvie to design it like that. I think it will just be a storage area.

It's stuff like this that pisses me off about Nissan. Come on guy's....give us some hard facts so we know what we are buying!!!!

It was confirmed last month by ZISME on zcar.com that it would be a storage area with cover.

As i've seen even you order the nav it will still have a cover....
and i think the air vent thingy is a rumor, imagine, if u are nissan you wouldn't spend another piles of money to redesign the dash only because you want to make them look different, so from any point of view i think the nissan will keep the space as a storage space with a cover.

As kraZy stated, this topic has been discussed quite a bit. It came back up after the Houston event, because of some statements by the reps there. I asked one of the reps about this question, and she told me the answer where the radio is moved up a little and the dash is slightly different above it (i.e. vents) There is some precedence for this at Nissan. She used this as a visual example. We went over and looked at a Maxima w/ and one w/out a Nav system. The one with the Nav was as she had mentioned...radio moved up a little, vents above it. As LowFuel point out, ZISME mentioned that this was not correct. Of course, InternetAbyss was quick to point out that this scenario was just as he had been told months before. I think this one may have to wait until June for a final (hopefully ) answer.
