Default Head Knocker

So, it finally happened. My head got wacked by the dang hatch. It hasn't happened before however, it was much colder tonight than it has been. I lifted it up and went to put in a bag my wife gave me and knock, knock on the knoggen the hatch went.

We'll I thought this might happen someday. However, I didn't think just a tempurature change would be all it would take.

The reason I figure it would happen someday is because I installed a G35 wing on the car. It didn't come with the heavy duty shock but it seemed to stay up just fine. We'll that was until tonight at least.

So, I guess I'll have to cough up $150 or so for the upgrade shocks or keep a prop in the trunk.

Any one else had this hair raising experience?

She probably figured I had it coming to me.

No really, she was as shocked as I was. She's pretty good cause she lets me buy whatever car parts I feel I need or want. They don't come any better.

Yeah, I might have to do that until I can get some replacements in there.

Had this happen to me also. Whack!! It hurts... Only happens when the temp is around 18-34 F. Some of you folks will never see those temps, Florida for example. BEN

Yeah, It was like 37 degrees outside and frost on the roof. Hopefully, with the new shocks the pressure won't get reduced as much.

Thank you all for your responses.... I am enjoying the read.

Performance Nissan sells a set too. They're like $225 though. pretty pricey, but I guess it's better than a concussion.
