It's normal esp. if it's a cold morning or when you start it after awhile. I just switched to Redline 10W30 and I am experiencing the same issue. Usually on a cold start it idles right around 60psi and under acceleration it's about 110-115psi, just make sure to take it easy for the first several miles or 10 mins until the oil is warmed up.

After the oil is warm, you will see normal operating psi; idles at 30psi and under acceleration at 60-90psi.

Default oIL psi

I havent seen it drop under 90psi yet, and it hovers around 120 +most of the time. IM just gonna go ahead and try an oil change. Besides DIY, any reccomendations on where to take it? How are places like Grease Monkey? i heard some horror sories.

Hmm... that's strange because I have the opposite problem. I run Mobil1 5W30 and under acceleration, my gauge always reads about 60psi, and when I idle, it drops down to about 10 psi. I thought the oil level might be low (2000 miles since last change) so I added 3/4 of a quart and it made no difference.

This is with outside temperature of about 55 degrees.

OMG another thread about high oil pressure. If you would use the search function you would find that this has been addressed about 150 times in the last few months.

OK, laughs aside, I did a search and am not finding anyone with my problem (gauge never reads over 60psi under acceleration, and always around 10psi at idle) so I may actually have to start my own thread.
