I wake up and just want to drive
Hey everyone you can respond to this if you want or you have similar feelings, I just got my DB Enth. a little more than 2 weeks ago, and i wake up and just want to go out for a spin. If i get bored I find myself not cutting on the tv or going to the pantry for a snack, I end up grabbing my keys and going on random pointless drives around the DFW area. This car is great and I am amazingly happy with all aspects of it, only minor details to complain about clanging seatbelt and window streaks on interior.
Hope you all have a great weekend and sorry for the random post but I just wanted to see if anyone else felt the way I do.

My Z hasn't arrived yet. I don't get it for another month.
But when my 8 series goes in, it stays for weeks at a time because they always have to special order or find the parts (not exactly an abundent supply anymore).

Every day from Sept. 1st/02 (delivery date), to this day, I get that strong urge to go out for a drive without any destination in mind.
My girlfriend is already accustomed to the fact that every night, between 11pm - 1am, I go for a my nightly spin that lasts anywhere from 1-2.5hrs. Sometimes she goes, most often she stays home watching TV or sleeping and I go alone. She swears I have another girlfriend out there (how did she know THAT?!).
But honestly, I have so much fun driving this car that I try to find any excuse to go out for a spin. Glad to see I'm not alone!

I sure can relate to the urge!
I even found myself wishing it were a few more miles to and from work. Driving the Z is a real adrenaline rush! And I make up excuses to go drive somewhere on an "errand." When 4:00 p.m. rolls around at work, my mind starts to wander to thoughts of being able to slip behind the wheel and turn a few RPMs. Love the sound of the engine growl above 4,000 -- the Z is pure animal!
Yesterday, some young fool in a Sebring (obviously an automatic)thought he was hot stuff -- idiot was barely off the light spinning his wheels when I hit 60 and backed off.
I didn't anticipate giving him a demo of power, but when I heard his tires squeal, I just mashed the gas to the floor and power shifted to second a little above 6K -- and I even had the VDC on...
Little dude shouldn't try to mess with this 54 year-old granny!
In my younger days, I used to drag my '65 GTO -- bored & stroked triple deuce with a cam, Hurst close-ratio turning a 473 drag r&p (ran a 308 r&p on the street). Anyone old enough to remember "Little GTO"?
