Hes kinda right... the only reason you SHOULD put a bra on a car is if you cant afford to get your **** fixed after a wreck.
I had a GF that put one on my car for my Bday, I didn't know until 2 years later she had let it slip off a hill and hit a telephone pole and put the bra on before I could tell. I guess she just forgot about it..

I already have nicks in the paint on the front bumper, so I CANT get the clear bra. The 1st owner didnt take great care of the car, he kept it maintained, and thats it.
Know of any good touchup products?

I have a Colgan bra and I don't believe it does any damage to the paint as long as you don't leave it on when it rains. If moisture remains trapped under it it is possible for your paint to fade. But I've used mine for 3 years and I haven't had any problems.

If you need to put a bra on your car it better be the one that is that transparent film. Those black bras you put on cars scratch the paint. No matter how clean your car is before you put it on. You also have to take them off every time you wash the car. If you are like any person who treats their car right that is once a week.

wow mecinoid your car looks just like mine thanks for the pictures. SEXY LOOKIN
Ill have to get a touchup pen from my dealer b4 I even attempt the clear bra, but then again I hear nightmare stories about yellowing, cracking, and taking the paint with it on its way off (if and when you do need to replace it a few years down the road) when using that clear film.

That was another thing that scared my about the clear bra. I know a couple of people that have the 3M and over the past two years it yellowed on them.
One has a white car and he's really pissed. The guys out of business that installed it. The other guy has a silver car. You can tell but, it's not bad enough that you want to have them rip it off.
I was really happy last weekend when that dude bumped into my front end. Not a scratch. If it had been a clear bra it would have cost over $1200 to fix. First the paint then a new clear bra.

Use a exacto knife and cut around the emblem while it on the car. It pulls up the fabric so it is easy to see and you have a good 3/8" to the painted hood so no problems there. Then take it to an upolstery shop. and have them edge it with trim. Make sure they understand not to reduce the hole you have cut.
They will probably have to trim 1/8 all the way around and then install the trim. Should cost you $10-15. I have had lot of upolstery done for, RV's, Boat, Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Planes, etc...
You just have to make sure you are clear with them.
Here's what it might look like when your done:
