What happened to our beautiful Headlights?

2006 headlights are ok IMO. If I had an 06, then of course I would like them. But to me they make the Z look like Herbie the Bug because of the bubbly eyed look from the headlamps and the new front spoiler on the bumper. The car looks like its sticking its tounge out. Lol. Touche!First time he saw them, I have a friend who said the lights on my '03 looked like "Klingon Bird of Prey" headlights. The '03-'05 headlights look much more aggressive than the '06 lights. Wouldn't change 'em for anything.

06 Lights kick butt.
Not a fan of the 05 orange strip.
Xenon and Led are the way of the Future.
The Next one, is always the Best one.
Pick up my 06 in less than 2 weeks and counting.
I hate the Orange teeth though. Lol.
They put orange reflectors to cover up the brake ducts. That will be my first mod. Rip out the reflectors and open up the ducts.
The first thing I do when I get a car, is start ripping things off it, and then add some. LOL Its an illness.
Thankfully there is no cure.

ive been thinking of swapping over to the 06 headlights, more for the better beam pattern than the design
they do look urkel'd with the 06 smiley bumper, but i dont think theyll look as bad with the 03-05 bumper

It's nice to read a four page thread filled with opinions about something and not one flame. I warn you, don't say you don't like the back end of the convertible (from experience).
I think both designs have good points and bad points. I thought the first pictures posted of the '06 lights were terrible. The angle made it look like glasses. I haven't look closely since then and the couple of pictures posted in this thread were interesting. It didn't look like glasses (+1), but I didn't realize it had a robot looking ring around the projector and lines on each side (that also reflect in the headlight houseing). That's pretty busy. DOn't like the orange teeth, do like that the large amber strip is gone.
I'm sure it functions 10,000% better than my stock base lights (and looks aside, at night that's what counts). I still like the '03-05 style, with clear reflector, but haven't gotten around to removing the amber strip and may never.

I am so glad im not the only one who has been dwelling on these new headlights...... i actually like them more for the side marker look
but not the hid...... 
i like the new tail lights too..... the lighting is sick........ but i would never in my life spend 1300 to change over to the new headlights
thats tire money, or a full day of dyno, or u get what im saying..

dont h8 on the new lights...you all love them that's why you cant keep your eyes off them..but the old headlights are nice too...i think the 06's are better looking
