with a great car comes great danger.
I dunno about you guys but I hate babysitting my Z... I can't go anywhere and leave it outside for more than 30 minutes. And if I do I have to check up on it every so often to make sure she's alright. I can't go to the club with it because I'm scared someone with tow it away to a chop shop. Can't ever leave it outside over night (if I'm spending the night at my girls house), even if I go to someplace such as Wallmart I'm worried. Now it may just be me since my last car was stolen beneath my eyes and I might be paranoid, but there's just so much thieving going on these days and stupid idiots keying/hit and running/ dinging up our cars... I love my car and all but man it's a big responsibility. Almost as if I have my own kid lol. Anyways, I'm just ranting.

I generally keep my cars 10 years or more and except for the few rock chips and minor dings that I just can't afford to get resprayed. My cars look almost brand new or better throughout their life.

Take a lesson from me. I used to own a 240SX SE Coupe 10 years ago. I loved that car. It was pristine, with a Heads Up Display of the speed, power everything.
I loved it so much that I only put 10,000 miles on it in the 3 years I had it. I ended up selling it later because it was an automatic and I wanted a manual vehicle.
The lesson I learned from that is you can't baby a car too much.
I have an NSX now and I do baby it, I admit it. But I also drive it hard when needed, because it's a car for me to enjoy. I don't want to feel like I can't enjoy my cars any more.
I understand what you're saying, but you need to get over it, or you'll never enjoy the car to its fullest extent.
I'll probably end buying a 350Z or a G35 Coupe as a daily driver in the next few months, once I get my cars squared away (I've got 3 other daily drivers besides the NSX, so I need to get rid of one or two of those cars). You can bet I'll be using the Z or the G35 hard every day, and loving it.
