Default Bizarre "jingling" noise in clutch/tranny... Need HELP

First off, I'm a long time viewer, new Z owner and am coming into my first technical issue. So, now that the weather is getting warmer, I've been driving with my windows down and I've noticed a "clanking" when my clutch is pressed in or let out past a certain point. It almost sounds like two washers banging together, only one time. Starting to freak me out. Also, there is a cicular rattle in my idle. It's an '03 and only has 15,000 miles. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Haha I was the same way when I got my Z, get used to the noise, its just a normal noise for the Z, as I was told the tranny is a truck tranny, this is very common, but also you should bring it to a dealer to make sure the car as all the recall and TBS stuff

its the same for me and i just got my Tranny, clutch, pressure plate replace because of 3rd gear grind...i started to hear that noise...but it SURE PULLS 5x's harder then before..so its a bitter/sweet thing..i guess its because when u got ur clutch replace it just trys to grab on to it...so it makes that nose but i do love th new clutch! it pulls strong!

I have a 03 track and the noise is the usual flywheel chatter that everyone experiences. Taken the car to the dealer for TBS and extended warranty stuff but they said that my tranny is fine. Will probrably just live with it since i love the car so much. My buddy has a 05 anniv. and his car has the same chatter coming from the tranny. Overall our cars drive great. I think the big thing to be most worried about is the grinding. Maybe gotta have something to do with badly manufactured synchros??? Beats the hell out of me...but if you do find a way to fiz it let me know.

this so called "cement mixer" syndrome while in idle for the Z is pretty common. My 03 with 19k sometimes had similar flywheel chatter but its hardly noticeable today. i guess the noise is overwhelming for Zs with light weight fly wheels.
