I bought the Z because i loved it since it came out but I was only like 16 when it came out so I couldnt afford it...then my brother in law became the general manager down at a nissan dealer 3 years later...As soon as i heard about that I went and traded my 2003 mercedez c320 for the Z....the only mistake i made buyin the car is stated in my sig...

I loved the 300zx. I had a 240sx, so I already had the Nissan Pride. I needed a new car that was 6MT, 240+hp, not FWD, and 2 door. Almost went out of my requirements and got a IS350, but I didn't want to "settle" for something that cost so much more and strayed from what I really wanted. Also contemplated a G35 and S2. I like everything about the Z better than the G, except for the trunk space and taillights. The S2 is a lil small and i don't think it is as good as a daily driver. The Z just had all the right things that made me say yes.

I am amazed at how many people have posted over the years that they wanted a 300TT Z but could not afford one when they were new and that motivated them to buy a 350Z.
Seems to me alll the more reason to offer a TT option the 350Z and if people dont want that option, they can always buy the cheaper NA version.

I've loved all Z's..I will have a Z until I die (hopefully!)..I had an older 280ZX so i paid my dues, and I didn't want a 1G 300ZX, and the second gen 300ZX was too much to insure/always beat up when found. So logically, it was a 350Z.

the first time saw the z like in 2003 i was crusin on I-10 East just outside New orleans. I was going about 90 and ther i glance in my rear mirror and i see something comming like 95 or so so i speed up in my stock altima and when the z passed i loved the rear look with the horzontal turn lights. All I could say was what the f uck was that!!I later saw one on campus at LSU and i then stopped by a nissan dealer and ther it was I was like holey s hi t. I test drove the black touring like 5 or 6 times and i loved the handeling and i know i had to have one whatever the cost, so i saved and bought one like 2 years later for a graduation gift to myself..I got an 03 performance ppw.

I always wanted a Z. Growing up my cousin had a 260Z. My girlfriend in college had a 280ZX. When the 300ZX TT came out in 1990 I wanted one but couldn't afford it. A $40,000 car was out of the question at that time. Then when I heard the Z was coming back in 2003 I ordered one in August of 2003 just as the first ones arrived at the dealerships. I ordered Daytona Blue with only having seen the color chip. I have to say that I made the right choice on the color. My only regret was that I ordered a Touring model. I should have gotten the Track model.

The first car I ever drove was a 260z, it was a boyfriend of my sister's car. He used to pull me behind the car on my skateboard like in Back to the Future. Even at 11, I knew it was a serious car, that I wanted.
Then the 280z came out and a buddy of mine got one, I was pretty pissed.
Then the 300zx M1 came out and I wasn't very impressed. I think I still need proper ride in one.
Then the 300zx M2 came out and again I was pissed, because I would never have one.
Then I grew up, went to school, got a job, and the 350z came out.
Ta Da.
Damn I can't wait to eat off these Potenza's, so I can justify rims with the new tires. Straight stock still look pretty FN tight though.

I have owned a 240,260,280,300,Z now the 350......the '86 i'm restoring has stereo controls on the steering wheel, who else was doing that in the '80's, it shows the forward thinking datsun/nissan has always had....the six pack on my 240 was sick, fuel injected '79 280.....pioneers create great vehicles, they may not have been the inventor, but they damn sure knew how to evolve the technology.......... the mystique has always been there, the heritage keeps growing........and when it squats, fuqen see ya....

I wanted a E46 M3 Real bad!! Was saving up for it but one day just went to a Nissan dealer and found my self driving the Z home. Maybe in two years, the upgrade of my beautiful Z will be the E46 M3 I always wanted.

between my mom and dad they had owned one of every generation Z up to the 300ZX. i had always liked them growing up. there is even a picture of me as a little kid sitting on the hood my mom's 280z. so it was kind of natural for me to keep the tradition going.

Lineage, Z's have been in my family since I was a kid. My uncles and dad all owned Z's. We know how awesome Z cars are. I loved the 300ZX but that was discontinued in 96 and I was only 14. Around 19, when Nissan announced they'd be bringing back the Z car, I knew I had to have one. When it finally dropped I couldnt believe how awesome the car looked, and the rest was history.

I got it as a present lol. I'm still pissed after I graduated from community college this is all my parents bought me. I wanted an EVO or STI but they were like this is a better car just because I have 4 tickets last year and I'm 19 and insurance is expensive. Oh well at least they will buy me a twin turbo once they finance my college.

Wasn't going anywhere with the current job at the time. I went to Iraq to make money and get ahead in life. 100% debt free. No worries. When I first saw the 350z before I left for Iraq, I was like it will be mine. Bought my 350Z cash on my last r&r. Currently I'am in my 2nd year and my house is next. Third year is money in the bank. The Z is in the garage at my parents house. My Father lets it out of its cage so it can play. In 3 days I will be in the seat.
