Well the base should be lighter, so on paper, it might have the edge.
I have an '06 track and my buddy has a '06 base and we've run a few times from a 1st gear roll and it's pretty much even. Since upsprung weight makes a bigger difference, I thought the forged rays might have been given me an edge, but it didn't turn out so.
