350Z vs. 07 Camry
If you care about customer service and the way you are treated and don't want things falling apart, and don't want to listen to 100's of rattles coming from your car, go with Toyota. Because the fact of the matter is Nissan's service sucks. The Z was my frist Nissan product, and the happiest day in my life was when I traded it for a Lexus. I now understand what out of the 3 biggest Jap imports, Nissan is number 3, which equals last.
With no offense intended to you or your opinions... but I have just never really realized how some of these kids actually have the ***** to compare family sedans to sports cars like the Z. I know at least 3 people who are avidly like this, and they try to bash the Z by comparing it to sedans and saying how sedans are faster.
There is NO family sedan (Evo/STi don't count) that outperforms similarly priced Zs. To get a family sedan that will outperform a Z, you have to go at least $20k up. With all due respect, for $20k, I'd get myself a nice TT and end of discussion.

They need to seriously lock this thread...The Camry IS and ALWAYS was a lame a_zz boring car for mindless drones who view cars as a means to get from "Point A to Point B".
ANY comparison whatsoever to the Z is non-substantial....PERIOD!

Camry FAST FACTS!!
1. Available at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for $39.99 per day ...WOW!! (Cool Points LOST = 2,000)
2. Probably would have to "special order" a Manual Trans. Model from Japan (Cool Points LOST = 10,000)
3. You'll blend right in with your boring a_zz neighbors (who also have Camrys and Avalons) + Your parents and grandparents will give you a thumbs up (Cool Points LOST = 1,000,000,000 + the square root of pi (SQRT pi = 1.7724538509055160272981674833)
It's too painful to go on....but ya'll get the idea
In order to make the Camry "appear" cool ...Toyota hired James Bond 007 to drive a Camry SE in the next Bond flick! Here's a promo pic!!!

i wonder what they would say if u posted this in a Camry forum. i think the majority would pick the Z. But i guess in real life, family and everyday driving situations the Camry might suit you better then a 2 seater sports car

Special order can be for any reason, not just tranny. My MT6 Z had to be ordered from Tochigi.
Basically, the two cars are much too different to measure against "cool" points, but that point has already been beaten to death here.

the camry beats the Z in every category except maybe gas mileage. plus the camry is a toyota, that means its much higher quality.
ever heard of a camry getting tire feathering issues? thought so.
go with camry.

You guys are funny. Why's it's so damn hard to accept the fact that the V6 Camry will most likely give any 350Z a hard run for it's money. This is very much the same engine that powers the IS350 to 13.7@102mph stock. The new Car & Driver tested the new ES350 and it did 14.7@97mph and 0-60 in 6.0. The ES350 weighs about 200lbs more than the Camry SE V6. My cousin recently purchased an ES350 and I can firmly say that from a roll, the car does feel all as quick as my G35 auto which does 14.3s@98mph. I think it's entirely plausible for a 268hp 3,500lb sedan to be running mid 14s pretty easily seeing that my bonestock G35 auto with a rated 260hp has done run three 14.3s and six 14.4s with traps in the 97-98mph range. You guys need to wake up. Sure, the Camry is not a sports car, but it is pretty dang quick for a family hauler.

The Camry can be built to be God's gift to the automotive world. It'll still be a Camry. It will still represent compromise, run-of-the mill, middle-of-the road, etc, etc, etc. Sure the new design looks hot now, but wait two years when every other car will be a Camry......in Beige! with scratches and dings. I will never buy a Camry, simply because it is exactly that.....a Camry.
