I was driving on a street with windows down and the ventilation switch off. All of a sudden, the led light turned on and the airconditioner was working as if it was set to "auto" . So I pressed it to turn it off and it worked.
I guess my car is equipped with artificial intelligent climate control or something like that. Does anyone have an experience like this?

I did a search, found one thread that had the problem, no relevant answers to this question. I have had my air turn on in the off position on very hot days, and it will not turn off, no matter what I do with all the switches, so I too wonder what is behind this behavior.

i have the same problem. AC turns on by itself when the dial is clearly in the "off" position or comes on after it has been turned off. last week, i was using the AC while on freeway, i turned it off (leaving the fan on) by pushing in the AC button when i got off the freeway...AC went off, but then a second later, it turned it self on again...then a second after that it turned off again.

i figured it would be a waste of time to bring in to dealership as it happens so randomly and i have no definitive way of duplicating the problem for them

 

That's weird. Never had that happen to me yet.
