The Fastest You've Ridden In Your Z
Ha! You kids are really brave!
(or crazy!
)
I would LOVE to find out how fast I can go in my car . . . and after owning it for these past two months, I can attest that it's very easy to go over the limit. It's so smooth and powerful that sometimes I don't realize I'm doing it!
I've gone maybe 85 mph tops. So far.

My first attempt at a max run was to test if the AAM reflash really did work. It did and does. My 171 MPH run was performed at around 3 in the morning south on 210 (After the 228 exit, strait shot no lights) about a week after the Cipher install. I can attest that the car is very stable at 170+MPH.... That is.... Until you have to STOP!
I swear that it felt like it took just as long to stop that car as it did to get it going that fast in the first place. I'm sure that if you're not use to going that fast all the time the feeling would pucker ones bunghole.
Thats why I said... Brake upgrade first please.

Were you drag limited? Do you have the stock aero package? 171 is very good for your amount of mods, and I definitely believe it. Do you know how much more power you're making than stock? My base just has a k&n drop-in (& stock aerokit) and it will keep 159 pegged even going up a slight incline, so that tells me it has more to go even with stock power. I also believe you that the car is stable. Nothing about the car makes me nervous at 159.
161 mph shown on the digital gauge from the 350z (260 km/h)
I didn't feel any limiter kicking in yet.... Just a few cars ahead made me slow down. Will try again soon in Germany on the autobahn

Every day I eat my breakfast, get info my Z, I put on some music and drive to work, do some 150mph for some 5 miles...and the same when I go home
in the afternoon...
What would be the point of having the car if you can't enjoy it...
My Z does just under 170 and I do 170 at least once a week...
US laws probably kill you guys? Probably it's a bit easier to drive fast
in Europe...

I was routinely hitting 110 to 120 mph cruising across the bridges of Tampa Bay during my daily commute. Fastest I've gotten her up to is 142, but she still had more.
Lately though, I have been taking a different route to work to save mileage and enjoy the car. IMHO, its more fun to take off spirited from light to light then to stay on blast for 7 miles going across the bay (at speeds that will get you thrown into jail).
