Dont get me wrong, I like the EVO a bunch, but as cars go, its very un-refined for anything but Speed/Track.
The engined is not "suped up". It is a completely different engine. Completely different engine/suspension/brakes/tires/rims/transmission/drivetrain/steering/body panels/upgraded chassis.

You ever even ridden in one? It is a completely different beast compared to a normal $15k lancer. It feels nothing like them.

How is the Z "2 times the car".
The evo is not only faster, but has a better suspension, steering, and braking. It is a better driver's car stock to stock. And is much more versatile w/ AWD, 4 doors, and an actual trunk; yet you highlight the only fault it has for daily driving: the suspension is stiff.

The Z platform wasn't even specifically designed for the Z, yet you ding the EVO for that same fault?

Why is there a monthly EVO vs 350Z thread on here?

I prefer comparing cars in reality: i.e. what is the car like?

Not judging it on it's heritage, though the EVO has a pretty good one. Not that it matters at all in reality.

I have driven the EVO and run it pretty hard. After 20K the Evo starts to fall apart. The chassis just wasn't designed to handle everything that the Engine Puts out for extended milage. Yes it has a better motor, AWD and Suspension but 75% of the rest of it is Plain Jane Lancer, a Cheap Econobox.

It would be no different than Putting 300hp, AWD and a Suspension Upgrade ona Hyundai Elantra.

The Z on the other hand is still rock solid, built better and everything was designed to be application specific. Does it share bits with everthing from the Titan to the Maxima, Sure, what company doesnt platform share, Is it a 300HP Version of the Versa? No, It is not.

You just are wasting time comparing a Z to an EVO. It's nonsense.
Its a good point, Its almost like Comparing the Z to the Titan.

I really won't even begin to pick apart your ignorance, but you really should stop posting about EVO's. It is more than obvious that you know nothing about them.

From the some person who can't even respect the Z06, your opinion means nothing. No point in debating ignorance.

When have I ever said anything about the Z06? Its a monster.

I also never said I didn't like the EVO for what it is, I just know what it is, so STFU.

Look back through this thead, Everyone that has any opion other than "EVO RULZ!" you reply back with the same ol "Your Ignorant and know nothing" post.

Get real and go back to the EVO Forums fanboy.

You want to debate, Then Debate. If you are just going to come back with the same ol crap, go home.

You know, At a different point in my life I probably would have bought one. Now I care too much about ride/luxury/quality. Speed isnt everything to me now.

The Z shares more parts with the FX35 than the Evo and lancer. The only interchangeable body panel is the trunk. The Engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brake system are different. The Lancer Evolution’s unibody is double the torsional rigidity of the base Lancer sedan and the platform’s flexural rigidity is improved by 1.6 times. They do share inerior pieces, but anything that is a part of the driving experiance is different in the evo(steering wheel, pedals, seats, shifting mechanism, gauges). I do own an evo and regularly drive an 06 350Z, which I am careing for while my friend is deployed for 4-8 months.
