Default DO i need to reset something

I got a 04 Performance model Z with VDC. Whenever I accelerate hard and break traction, the brake light, VDC light, and SLIP light all come on and stay on until i turn the car off. WHY?, also is the brake light supposed to come on for a sec if im breaking hard?

I do not believe that you can reset VDC similar to resetting the ECU. What size tires do you have all around?

I have VDC and I have never seen that problem. Take it to a dealer and have it checked out

More info. please. You bought the car new? How many miles? Tire condition? Brake pad condition?

What is happening is your VDC system is shutting down (lights come on and stay on until car restart). Something is causing the system to think it cannot perform that way it should, thus, instead of kicking in and correcting the wheelspin/slide by killing power and applying individual brakes, it just shuts off altogether. I have never seen this happen to anyone under these circumstances, though.

The brake light flashing under hard braking is typically an indicator of low brake fluid, which, in turn, is typically an indicator of worn brake pads that may need replaced. Perhaps the VDC system sees this as well and thinks it isn't going to have sufficient braking ability to do it's job? Possible, but again, I've never seen anyone that this has happened to. At any rate, first thing I would check is your brake pads and fluid level.

Check your brake fluid. That will solve it. Had the same problem and was a bit low, filled it up everything went away and never came back..

Tire size is correct. VDC is broken.
