One thing I found quite odd, is that there is no glove box. Noticed that when I drove it off from the dealer.

Good news is that there is quite a bit of storage area for a sports car. But... why no glove box? Dunno why they did that.

There is a compartment behind the passenger seat that you could consider the glove box.

Wish I knew that the power output would get old after 6 months, and now I'm craving more.

Wish I knew that I would've rather had the bigger brakes, because the quality of the brembos is much better than the floating 1-piston non-brembo calipers.

If you get the grand touring you'll get the brembos, you won't regret that...

Heh, I didn't think about that. If you've got a good system in there, then you could quite possibly make the rattles worse! Good point! I'm still running the stock system

BTW did you catch the mythbusters where they build a 50"+ subwoofer that's powered by the driveshaft of the car? They were trying to see if they could produce enough dbs to break the car (or at least blow out the windows) CRAZY. They did manage to take out the sunroof, but that's about it.

Nope, this car is a rattle trap regardless of stereo or not. I have never had a car that rattles as bad. Even my 1995 Dodge 4X4 has less rattles and that is not saying much....

Few things come immediately to mind:

1) The stereo needs to be better. The non-Bose one is pathetic really, and the Bose one isn't even that good.

2) I have an '03 and was not aware of tranny issues before I purchased it. This may have made me get an '04 possibly had I known. Not to mention my Z is on its 2nd tranny (the first one was replaced before I bought it).

3) Dashboard rattles and road noise. This is NOT a quite car, and I am not talking about exhausts (that is actually pretty quiet until you get on it).

That is all I can think of at the moment. I do not think any of those would have prevented me from buying a Z, but still would have helped to know.

There are three compartments behind the seats. Two for power amps and one for all your junk.

This can be said about everything in life. 6 months after staring at your new big screen TV it doesn't seem that big. 6 years after being married to the same woman she doesn't seem that hot.

1. Window grease streak/window motor blowing
2. Rattles like a *****

However, I still drive the Z more than my Benz

I wish I knew that the connecting rods and the 5AT are weak...
I'd still buy one back in 03, but not mod it and trade it in as soon as the '05 LS2 GTO's hit the showrooms...

I wish I would have researched the different trim levels before i bought the base. I knew I was going to replace the seats and didn't need cruise control or heated seats or anything, but I assumed it had a LSD. I would have bought the next next model up with the LSD just for that.

I wish I knew there was a problem with the hatch (semi-fixed with the penny trick), I wish I had known both the windows were going to be such a PITA to fix, wish I had known that I would regret getting the AT over the MT within a couple of weeks.
