Dustin:

I can definitely say I've had some recurring dreams of me and my Z and woken up, kicked the door down to the garage, and saw only my Pathfinder (which I love to death, too).

The morning commute has seen some interesting periods of daydreaming about tearing down the highway in my Z (yes, I can tear down the highway during my morning commute! God Bless route 287 southbound! And if you know what I mean, give me a hell yeah.)

Like most everyone else here, I can't wait to get my car. I've been waiting for this moment for the better part of three years since the first words were leaked that the Z was coming back. I've waited this long, I'm sure the last few weeks will tick away in no time! And once I have my butt parked in the seat, I'm sure I'll forget all about the anxiety I feel now while waiting for my car.

Hang in there, brother. Salvation is only a short time away.

I had a dream I was on the boat with all our Zs and a huge wave came and sank the boat, while I was clinging to my own Z in the water. Talk about a nightmare.

Great post Dustin!

I was literraly laughing out loud. I resemble quite a few of those (I especially liked the one about shifting my automatic)

Thanks!

Hey good one Dustin! But you know what, I don't think their is any car that resembles our new Z anywhere. Like those people who said, "it looks just like they copied the Audi TT". Ya right, HAH, it looks more like Audi copied the new VW UG Bug. Our new Z is Miss August '03 and the Audi is Rosie "O'Dumbell" O'Donnell!!!

Hmmm, anyone get Playboy? I'd like to see Miss August!

Yes, I found it quite fitting that the highway where I'll spend most of my time is the same as the hp of the car itself.

Almost like it was destined to be... (well, at least until the Nismo catalog eventually shows up. Then they'll have to renumber my highway to something like 'Route 375').

I actually had a dream that I drove my new Z back to the dealership, to thank everyone for their nice service, and it was stolen while I was inside the dealership. I walked back inside the dealership and said "o.k.... stop playing around and bring me my car back...". All the guys inside just looked at me as if they didn't know what I was talking about. That's when the panic set in..lol

That dream was about a month ago. I woke up pissed off but relieved....lol

I think I'm going to go crazy before my car arrives......

That reminds me of two notable moments in my life.

One was when my Acura was stolen (rest in peace). I went to dinner with a friend, and when we returned, he actually parked his car in the exact spot where my car should have been. It took a second and a few, "Heeey, wait a minute..." comments, but once I realized what happened, I was so mad I didn't know what to do first.

Then several years later, I went to visit a friend in scenic Hoboken, NJ. Parked my beloved Pathfinder in one of the many garages on Hudson St. So I end up going back to my truck with my friend, and lo and behold, no truck. I start carrying on like a maniac, when my friend asks for my parking stub. After reading the stub and asking the attendant, she kindly reminded me that we were at the wrong garage. That was a GREAT first move. (Damn you, Hudson St., and all of your garages that are EXACTLY the same. And give me a hell yeah if you know what I mean, Hobokenites.)

With all this talk about stolen cars I'm going to be hard pressed to leave my Z unattended for several months (or maybe years) after purchase. It would be nice if our cars came with a security option that would just cause the engine to shut off when the car is more that 1/4 mile from the Z remote (keyless entry). Now I'd pay an extra $500 for that.

A good bit of the list applies to me, especailly wanting to rag on ricers. There are not many good performance cars clost to where I live and the streets are full of anoying ricers zooming around with annoying bumble bee exaust systems.

That's very funny....lol I have that some problem where I live. Just because it's loud doesn't make it a high performance car.
