Default Had a scare in the Z today

I was running around town and after getting some coffee I pulled out onto the street and started to accelerate and well the car started bucking and feeling like it was bouncing off the rev-limiter at like 3300. So then the check engine and slip light come on although I have tcs off. So I'm starting to think somethings seriously wrong with my car. Well I take it to the dealership and come to find out it was a simple fix. The MAF sensor was shorting out because when they re-installed my intake they let the wires make contact with the brace for the strut bar. So it was causing the car to think it was starving for air. The guy I usually work thru was like he's going to have a talk with the guy who worked on it yesterday because it was a stupid careless mistake. Luckily all he did was turn it a little and reset it and everything is fine again. So far I have had good experiences with my dealership so far

What did you have it at the dealership for in the first place?

Yea me too. I was like thinking of all these horrible scenarios. Doesn't help that a decent amount of people do have probs with Z's. Ahh but tommorow they will actually replace the hose since they thought they had it in stock but didn't. Plus they are going to fix my popcharger so it doesn't rub a hole in it again.

Actually the guy who reset my sensor saw that there wasn't anything to keep it from happening again and thought the work had already been done and was like there is no way I would've fixed that and not added a piece of rubber to keep this from happening again. Seem like good guys so far. Especially compared with a lot of stories I hear

No they had to remove it to work on the ac until they realized the part they needed wasn't in. So they re-installed it and the guy who fixed my sensor was asking if the work had already been done. When I said no he was like oh ok because he wants to make sure there is some type of a buffer between the intake and the hose.

I installed the popcharger months ago along with my spacers with a buddy.

Lol have the dealer install a popcharger
