Context - it's all about context. In the Wheels, Tires forum, most people know that TPS means the Tire Pressure Sensor. TPMS is the complete system that the TPS is part of.
In the Engine forum, TPS refers to the Throttle Position Sensor.

Nope. It requires an antenna, receiver and all the support electronics. Also, your computer is not set up to display the pressure so it would have to be swapped out.
You might be able to pick up an aftermarket system that will work.
