For the record...

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
TPMS = Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Kinda tired of opening threads thinking someone has an engine question.

 

Context - it's all about context. In the Wheels, Tires forum, most people know that TPS means the Tire Pressure Sensor. TPMS is the complete system that the TPS is part of.

In the Engine forum, TPS refers to the Throttle Position Sensor.

Your 06 Enthusiast also doesn't have 17" wheels on it.

Because of the impending regulation that all cars be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, the '06's and beyond will have them on every model.

 

you're probably better off without them anyway. Mine drove me nuts with all the false readings and such. I just pulled them out.

 

If you don't browse by forum and instead use the "new posts" tab at the top, this doesn't apply. I don't check which forum a post is in before I open it. Just trying to help.

 

Once you're taken to the thread, at the top it still shows you where you and the thread are. What if the thread is about TPS reports and is in the Lounge, it makes more sense if you know where the thread is posted.

Nope. It requires an antenna, receiver and all the support electronics. Also, your computer is not set up to display the pressure so it would have to be swapped out.

You might be able to pick up an aftermarket system that will work.

i was a bit surprised why my friends wheels with sensors didnt do anything, lol
