Check out what somebody did to my Z....
it took me about good 1/2 an hour to read everything.....
sorry about the whole situation you and your son is in, i'm gald to see you're doing something about it though, alot of times people just simply walk away from this kind of incidents....mostly due to lack of help from the law or simply not having a strong case.....
i hope for the best for you and good luck!!
curious about how it went today in court?!......

Well we had our day in court, but the boy ended up getting off. The problem was that out of the many kids that saw the boy throwing the paint on the car, only one had the guts to come forward and tell what happened.
Unfortunately the day it happened our one witness was threatened by the boy who threw the paint, and so when the Sherrif questioned our witness about what happened he said he didn't know anything. He didn't want to get beat up.
It took a couple of days for him to come forward and then tell the truth about what happened. Well, that was enough for the defense attorney to tear the boy apart on the stand. In the end, she asked our witness, "Which version is the correct one? The one where you didn't know what happened or the one where you say you saw my client throwing the paint."
That was all it took, and the judge ruled our witness "not credible", and the case was dismissed. While I knew that our witness was telling the truth, as I listened to the defense attorney, I also knew that the judge had no choice. In the end, we needed one more witness to make it stick.
For me, the outcome was the same regardless of whether he had been convicted since apparently there is a long list of victims that this boy already owes money to (totalling over $20K), and he and his family have no money/job to repay the debts. I was told also that the boy is involved with one of the local gangs (I didn't even know that we had gangs), so more than likely he'll be back in court and eventually the way he's going he'll end up in the youth detention center anyway.
To give you some insight into the boy, the father was there with him with the huge baggy pants at his knees, huge t-shirt hanging down, and smelling and looking like he just spent the past couple of hours with a bong. Not exactly teaching the boy respect for the law and the judicial system, but I guess at least he was there. There were a number of kids there whose parents didn't come with them.
So that's the end of the story. Thank you all for your interest and support. This has been an incredible thread with over 46,000 hits! That's pretty cool and says a lot about the my350z.com community.

Well George, really sorry to hear that..........since justice wasn't served taking the high road. Maybe it's time to enlist the volunteer services of those men in the armed forces who volunteered........
Too bad court did not work out. The sad part is that not many others were willing to step forward. Silence is complicity. When many stand up to a bully/thug, he will back down. Unfortunately, you are right about the outcome - nothing gained other than short lived satisfaction.
That guy is heading down a very short road in life or life in prison one day.

+1
Now that just sucks a$$ man. I think I'm waaaay too childish to be taking it this easy. If he didnt get convicted, you'd see a couple of my friends waiting for him and his dad when they get home.
Have my friends tie up his dad and beat him until he can't see anymore. BLAH i guess this is the type of attitude I get for being raised in Richmond.

sorry to hear that, only in America can people be so ignorant. If I ever come across an opportunity or enough money to leave this country I will jump on it!! screwed by the same government and system that we pay for with hours of our own hard work!
this country is a sad sad place to live, other countrys may lack the luxuries I have here but there is no match for the hospitality and the friendly people you will find there (minus france)
Sorry things didn't work out for you in court. But Karma is a b*tch and will get that boy someday. If he keeps living foul.. then it will eventually catch up to him.
I praise you for being the better man in this whole ordeal.
