Default $45,000 350z

Would you still have purchased your Z if Nissan charged $45,000? C'mon guys, the car looks like it cost a lot more than that to the average Joe.

Didn't help the Z32 being priced that much. If I was going to have 45k in my pocket to purchase a sports car it would have gone to a slightly more expensive car like the M3 or Z06. At 45k they could have done a lot more with the 350Z... Nissan is making bank off the car even at 26-35k

no, for 5grand Id get the Z06, tho its a mute point, regaurdless of what its worth, its all about what I can afford, and I cant afford 45grand.

not sure its worth it either, to the average joe it might look it, but to me, for 45grand i want a few things of higher quality, namely gas cap door, tread, and interior. tho for 10grand Im sure they could do a damn fine job on those items.

The $45,000 (in todays money) is what killed the Z in 1996.

I'm sorry, but Nissan is NOT a BMW nameplate that can drive a 45,000 purchase....Infinity maybe.

Notice how the SMART businessmen that are now running nissan are releasing the Skyline GT-R as a 50,000 INFINITY, and not a Nissan.

To be honest with you all - Nissan's 350Z is the Ford Mustang of the Japanese auto world - it cant and will NEVER be the BMW M3 or the Porsche 911 that all you elitists want it to be....

who wants it to be a an M3 or Porche, the Z has got heaps of style and class of its own and even if I could afford those other 2 cars I'd have still bought a Z hands down.

Maybe, definitely if it came with twin turbos. For that price, Nissan could have done that.

OK, that's rubbing it in...

In the UK (release date October 2003) the 350Z GT with metallic paint & 18" Rays is £ 27,795.00

so the answer is YES because that converts to $ 44,860.00

I've said it before & I'll say it again "You lucky, lucky people"

Enjoy

My Track works out to be about US$43k so I'd still be interested at 45k. FYI a basic M3 is US$88k here.
