Yes, the '07 will have the new HR engine and will be released sometime in January. Too tired to look for the article now but there was an article written up form NISSAN announcing the new engine in the '07 Z.
Also, it is my understanding that Nissans new HR engine will also be the same engine in the GT-R coming out in 2008. The GT-R is a twin-turbo V6 so, theoretically the engine will be designed to support the twin-turbo boost. That is the reason that a previous post stated that the new HR will be easy to twin-turbo and not have to worry about blowing up the engine (unless you go crazy with the psi.)
Here's a sticky on it. This was posted on nissannews.com

Look at the RB26DETT... dual MAF's. If they were just looking for more air, they could've saved themselves a bunch of work by simply increasing the size of the single TB. They went with a dual setup to make packaging the TT easier. If it's easier for Nissan, it'll be easier for the aftermarket. Hence my statement that twin turboing the HR will be easy. I'm guessing the only difference between the GT-R and 350Z motors will be the compression ratio, cams, twin turbos and tuning.
I'm anything but ignorant. I've been building cars in my garage for 18 years and am half owner of HyundaiPerformance.com.
