Default sell-a-bration

hey whats up...did anybody else get a letter in the mail aboue the nessan sell-a-bration?? They're offering me something ridiculous...buying back my car and giving me 1% for 60 months on any new or used one. It sounds too good to be true, but I am going ask them about it anyway. I was jsut wondering if anyone else tried it out. I might try to get into a frontier if it works out. something a little more practical.

There are previous posts about this. It's a not necessarily a scam, but they just basically want to sell you a new car, and get your trade. Trust me they won't lose money on the deal.

If it's anything like toyota they'll offer you next to nothing on trad-in to make what they lose on the interest.

The only way this could be a good deal is if have a really high interest rate or if you can manage to get a great deal on the new car and a good trade in price on your old car.

What they do is offer you a bad trade in value and sell you a marked up car.

And they probably would have tried to sell you a new '06 for $40,000!

Why would they send something out to make you a good deal if they aren't going to make money? They are going to make money and guess where that is going to come from...straight from your pocket.

the OP isnt asking if the dealer is going to make money, he's asking if the offer he received is legit or not

Yup, its ridiculous. And yup, too good to be true. And yup, that's what they want you do...come in and talk about it.

BTW, did you actually read the specific terms and limitations in their "offer"?

I said in my post that there is going to be profit for the dealer involved and that it would be coming straight from his pocket. Sorry if I didn't state that it was not a good deal more plainly.
