Yup, it was built on 11/25/06 and was shipped on 12/5/2006. Expected port arrival on January 17th, estimated dealer arrival on January 23rd. So I should be picking it up either at the end of January or early February.

It's one of two things I've been looking forward to..... kinda sad isn't it?

Trying to beat my high score in the game of 'Astroid'.... you know, the black and white game in the good ol days.

The second thing means a lot to me, but I ain't saying it.

I had ordered a Magnetic Black Z with Burnt Orange leather, but got black on black instead. But looking at the combinations that's available for '07, I should've gotten white with orange leather.

Based on the responses all of us seem to be generating when approaching the dealers regarding the 07, you should be the first to have the HR Z!!!

Yeah. My good for nothing dealer "had to call the regional sales manager" and was going to "call me back in 15 minutes". That was 3 days ago. I think I'ma just go over there on my day off, poke my head over the counter and tell them to log into nnanet.com and see what's coming. Lazy bastards.

Anyone buying into or even believing all the rumors of a mid to late 2007 supercharged Z?

Even if 2008 or 2009 bring a redesign, it would not be so unusual for a manufacturer to try out some next model tech on a current platform to gauge acceptance, reliability and potential.

I really do want to trade in the 2004 for a 2007 not just for all the new engine goodies but also because I want to correct my only mistake when buying the current Z which is to get back to a manual tranny. The auto is fine, but I miss the control of a manual.

But I would hate to buy in January to find a supercharged edition show up later in 2007.

Anyone have any related info other than all the rumors in various articles on the net?

I've never put down a deposit for a car in advance. I realize the prices for the 2007 have not bee released yet. So, being that you put your order in for the car how do you know what the price will end up being? What if when the car arrives the dealer jacks up the price a few thousand? Or how exactly does this work?

I'm not worried about the dealer jacking the price on me, its in the contract. However I don't know what the price is for the car, which is the only thing that's annoying.

As I read through all the info posted so far, one thing is really clear.

If bolt-ons don't deliver that much bang on the current VQ then we can expect even less with the new engine setup. It seems Nissan pretty much addressed most issues. Even the old exhaust manifold is now a true header design.

I just called one of the dealerships here in TN. Well the salesman sounded like a dick and said he had no idea when the 07's are coming cause they come from Japan! LOL. Then I asked for any 06's in REDLINE MT. Told me to come in and he'll look for one. bastard!

So I asked for the Sales Manager and told me he was in a meeting and asked for my name and # but I said I'll just call back so he hung up on me. Didnt say thank you for calling! Damn Hick salesman!

I know that usually the Sales Manager has all the info so if the 07 Z's were coming next yr in Jan/Feb he should have a rough idea. Cause my Sales Manager at Audi/VW did.

Maybe a dumb question, but hear it goes= The 07 comes out in Jan and it has the new motor. How long after will performance parts and other accessories be out. Just wanted to know if the fact that the infiniti is already out if the parts will be out for the new motor befor the Z is even out.

How is one VPP discount cheaper than any other at the same level (A-D)? If I get the C level of VPP, You're sayin that a different dealer could have a differnet price for the C level. Not buyin it...

Not much has been mentioned about suspension. Are there no significant changes anyone is aware of?

I wonder if my 2004's Hotchkis TVS would carry over or have shocks, spring rates and sways been tweaked making it a no-go?

I haven't heard of any changes made to the wheel area except for bigger rotors. The 06 seemed to have a larger fender gap (rides higher) than the previous years... but the vendors I have spoke to say that the Hotchkis works with all years. So I would imagine that as long as there aren't any changes made and it's the same stuff used in 06 models, it should work.
