Yet another stupid lie from a dealer...
Had a voicemail today and it was this dude seeing if I still wanted an 07. I called him back and said "FAHCK YEAH, why wassup?" He said they'll be getting them next week. <=== WTF??? I'm like, oh yeah? Knowing full well dude is B.S. Then he even tries to sell it further by giving me details, like he's soooooo in the know. There's a boat on the way full of 07 350Z's, it'll port in San Diego, blah blah blah. I'm like right on bro, lemme know when you get a MB Enthusiast on the lot and I'll leave work the second after I hang up. What a tool.

Dealer hype or reality
I received the following e-mail from my dealer yesterday. Do any of you believe that this 'ordering window' is reality and that pricing has increased only $400?
"The ordering window for the 350z opened up Tuesday, and it ends Friday, Nov 10, 2006 at 5:00pm est. it will resume next month. However, as ridiculous as this might sound, we still don’t have pricing. I watched my boss order one today for a client, and after we built it online it just said “price to be determined”. Now, it’s my understanding that the base price of the car is to only be about $400 more than last year. I talked to the owner, and he said he will sell you the car for $300 over invoice. If you want to order a car tomorrow, it’s now a problem, but I can’t give you a price?it would just be agreed that you would be paying $300 over invoice, granted this selling price is okay with you."

I'm actually going to wait till January to order mine. I have a feeling dealers are going to try to screw early orderers. The price one pays to be the first on the block I guess...

That HR V6 looks NICE sitting in there! The buldge hood is not cool at all, even though it is a design queue from the 70's DATSUN, it just does not work in the design flow of the car.
In the 70s the buldge was to fit an inline 6cyl, which was not near as wide as the VQHR V6. So the buldge is terribly too wide.

Am I the only observant one here?
Why would they beef up the internals if they were not going FI? We all know that with present internals, any FI is sketchy on reliability...
