Report it to the insurance carrier, your friend will only have to deal with the collision deductible, not sure what that amount is, and some insurance companies will even warranty the work as long as you own the car and go to their approved collision repair centers.

And you can even pay the difference (out-of-pocket) for the cost of any upgrades.....06 headlights.....this is a good thing.

no brainer.

Just replaced a headlight assembly and it's no where near $2K. Try less than half that...

I also had to replace the headlights, and it cost $650

You really gotta be careful in wet weather when driving a RWD sports car, but atleast he is okay.
