HDPD350z foreal man... no1 really gives a rat *** what you drive. it is just like saying you are gay... people look down on them, but still no1 really cares. <-- that's not correct completely, but as long as u understand the point that is good. if not, i aint gonna change the topic into a gay thread.

im just saying in general... auto Z is for little girls or old farts who prefer to cruise around. and if u drive them... u'll get more "Negative" then if u had an stick.

really... this is true with any sport car... in the eyes of others, there's nothing wrong with a stick sport car other than how fast it goes. but with an auto sport car... it just tells people ur god damn lazy.

who are you more impressed with? a 16 years old girl driving a stick? or a 20 years old driving an auto?

and something u said earlier that i just blow away laughed at...

which it always does, because a few MT owners are too pathetic to enjoy what they have and instead sling dirt because they can't handle someone else doing something differently
LOL... well... let me tell you this... the first time i went to a drag strip with a friend... he was 1 of the 2 guy who had an auto... EVERYONE else had a stick... and when people walk by...they say "oh, its an auto"... frown and walk away. out of all the friends i know who have a sport car... they all say "damn, i wish i chose a stick".... but sadly enough... i dont recall knowing any1 who have a stick saying... "damn i wish i had an auto"

we enjoy what we have... and im sure you do too.... but people with stick can always bully you for being such a pansy and go the easy route. and all you can do about it is listen to it. all of ur attacks on m/t drivers are lame.

here's a quote from ja rule in the fast and the furious "it is not about how u stand next to the car, it is about how you drive it"... if flooring the gas is how u drive it... then that's who u are.... a pansy who mask your noobiness.

No, the original topic was about that, but the discussion takes turns, as you should know by now being a regular poster. I guess that eluded you.

How do you figure one can feel it's slower? I know my car is faster after the mods I installed, but to be honest, I can't really "feel" it being faster. My butt dyno isn't that attuned.
Hmmm... When you hit the gas, it doesn't move as fast, making it feel slower, even if by a little bit.

Your argument contains overly generalized statements, which are not and can never be factual unless it applies 100% across the board.
Where are the generalized statements? The MT is faster & more powerful than the AT?

You're right, that was an entirely subjective comment.

Not.

Fortunately I don't live in Hell. My parents just bought a condo there and I thought it'd be interesting to put that as my hometown (live in westchester county)

And yes, to get around you have to drive like a TOTAL *** WIPE LOL

The people that can't get around are the ones who are too scared to cut in front of someone.

Oh yeah, and discharge all you know about pedestrian safety laws. In Manhattan, cut the pedestrians off too. They deserve it.

I have read with amusement the past few days the A/T vs M/T argument on this thread. I have owned several M/T cars, to include a 280Z. When I was looking for a new '06 Z, I specifically wanted an A/T since I did not want to deal with the clutch & tranny maintenance issues associated with an M/T. An A/T is also more practical for me for various personal reasons (traffic, answering cell phone, etc.).

Most drivers are not aware that the transmission technology has greatly improved during the last decade or so. M/Ts are old technology and most car manufacturers have shifted to newer technology, adopting more towards the A/T technology. Just look at all the European & Japanese newer models with paddle shifters & CVTs. If you've never driven a CVT, you will appreciate this A/T technology. I owned an '04 Nissan Murano with a CVT and when accelerating, you will greatly appreciate the smoothness of the gears with this new A/T technology.

I have over 30+ years of driving experience so I'm not even going to debate the A/T vs M/T topic with someone who was not even born when I started driving. Just read the thread below so you're aware of the inherent problems associated with an M/T if you mis-shift:

For the cellphone part, there's a reason why they came up with things like bluetooth

Dakota tribal wisdom says that when you discover you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount. However, in business we often try other strategies with dead horses, including the following:

1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Say things like, "This is the way we have always ridden this horse."
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increasing the standards to ride dead horses.
7. Appointing a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Creating a training session to increase our riding ability.
9. Comparing the state of dead horses in todays environment.
10. Change the requirements declaring that "This horse is not dead."
11. Hire contractors to ride the dead horse.
12. Harnessing several dead horses together for increased speed.
13. Declaring that "No horse is too dead to beat."
14. Providing additional funding to increase the horse's performance.
15. Do a Cost Analysis study to see if contractors can ride it cheaper.
16. Purchase a product to make dead horses run faster.
17. Declare the horse is "better, faster and cheaper" dead.
18. Form a quality circle to find uses for dead horses.
19. Revisit the performance requirements for horses.
20. Say this horse was procured with cost as an independent variable.
21. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.

Never quote a crappy movie in attempt to settle an arguement. And more importantly, never quote a crappy rapper acting in a crappy movie in attempt to settle arguement.

Now go to class instead of trolling the internet in the school computer lab.

stick is around becuase there is no other feeling like clutching and shifting in a sports car. id take a stick over tiptronic, steptronic, all the SMG's, paddles... what ever. i dont care how fast an smg shifts atleast i know when i shift in a stick im the one controling the car and im the one having more fun. the only car id get SMG is like formula 1 cars lol. now those are a bit to fast for stick.

I am amazed that people are saying autos are for pansys or gays! Or that people look down on you for driving auto. That would clearly put most of America in those catagories. What an absolute load of BS! The Auto Z is just as much fun to drive.

I grew up in England driving stick where 90% of the vehicles are manual and of course thats what I drove. But roads are so different over there in so many ways - narrower and more of the twisty stuff. There is no skill involved driving a manual, it just takes some practice getting used to. I bought an auto Z so that my wife would be able to drive it. She does not want to learn manual and there is nothing wrong with that. To say an auto z is not a sports car is BS!

lilquazyvietboi I see the organ grinder has let you loose again.

And shall we discuss the pitiful durability of the Z M/T transmission? Or is the transmission actually good, but due to the Z driver horrendous shifting habits tear it up?

Here's a thought, be satisfied with the ***** size God gave ya and not try to compensate with a m/t. Drive what ya like and realize what someone else chooses is none of your concern. For those that say a/t drivers shouldn't have a Z, I ask you this... I brought my a/t brand new, free and clear. How many of you have no payments? Using the logic some of you display, those who make car payments on their Z should have bought a used metro instead. I think I can drive what I wish.

Good day now...

I agree here. Since living here, I have driven plenty of 2 and 3 year old manual cars (all makes models) and, judging by the state of the transmissions, I would say the owners need some lessons.

HDPD350Z... yes, i just watched the movie... u dont agree with it? that's cool... u dont agree with stuff i said earlier? that's cool too. but ur last post said nothing but insults...

come on now... how old are you? 40-50ish? how old do u think u are? 15? try using a more argumentive reply. saying insults like "you are retard" doesnt tell anyone anything.

auto Z driver are pansy's... u think that's an insult? LOL... all CURRENT stick driver will say the same. but yea... i know i know... u and black ducks are old fart that has too slow of a reaction time and cant multitask for ****..... i guess i should be proud that u are driving autos. LOL.

a/t people cant say a/t > m/t, but...
m/t people can always say m/t > a/t

if i give you 3,000,000$ to buy 10 sport cars... are you going to choose all auto cars? ill tell u this... if i had been given that option... 5% chance i will get ONE auto tranny... and that's the case, if they dont have any stick of that car... i'd prolly just go with it because that's my only choice.
