Default Nissan Put New Motor In ...need Help.....

i got my z back from nissan yesterday..its an 06 6spd and they replaced the motor because of oil consumption problems, and they also put the nismo lightened flywheel in...but there are 3 problems ...one is that 5th gear does not seem to be in the same spot as before i remember it being in the upper right corner and it was easy to find it seems it has moved to the left an inch or two and now its hard to find when switching from 4th to 5th or 6th to 5th...also for some reason i dont need to push the shift **** down to engage reverse,,, and the last thing is when im at a low rpm say 1300rpm in 2nd and i give it gas it makes this vibrating noise as if the flywheel is making it.....im guessing the transmission issues are due to the motor and tranny not being lined up properly???? somebody help please.....

your shift guide plate is off to the right too far. Theres a how to in this forum somewhere just do a search. but basically all you have to do is take the **** off, the boot, then another thing and loosen the plate and move it to the left

cuz they put a new flywheel in too, so the tranny had to be shifted IIRC

it is easier to take out the engine and transmission assembly in one piece and put it back in... aka it takes up less shop time

I would not DIY it since it was an issue that was caused by the dealer. Take it back and I am sure they will make it right for you.

I get my car back tomorrow. Same exact problem 06 oil consumption problems. Hope I have zero problems. My worry is that I wont get a rev-up motor, not sure why, I could just see the dealership bs-ing me and me getting the short end again. Good luck man.
