aight, I don't know what happened to this thread, but I'm hearing from all you guys about oil consumption. I chose to get a used 06 350z over a MazdaSpeed 3. Even though in a straight line, the Mazda would win, the 350z still looks a heck of alot better and I like nissan engines over Mazda engines any day. But is the 350z going to cause me problems? I don't need problems, I need reliable performance. I always think that non turbo engines(350z) last alot longer than turbo engine(MazdaSpeed3). Also, everything I looked up, there wasn't any changes to the engine from 06 to 07. Sow how is this problem fixed?
i heard that the 07 Z will get the new VQ upgrade compared to the old VQ. But other then that, basically same model. I will be getting a used Z as well. Gotta love the car. The only thing missing on a Z is some 19's with a lip and Brembo brakes if it doesnt already have it.

All in all Alexsered, they are a great car and a lot of fun to drive. And most cars have problems, even brand new ones.
I am sure I will get the Z. Percentage wise though, out of all the people everyone knows with a Z. Would you say like 50% of the cars have an oil burning problem? And does anybody know why there is this oil burning problem? Doesn't seem right that a brand new car should do that. Sin-R V6 you are right, the new Z does have a more powerful engine, I just found that out. Its like 6 more hp. I will be getting an 06, so hopefully I won't get one with this oil burning problem. Also, does oil smoke come out of the exhaust? I mean, is there really an Oil burning problem when the car is driven really hard? I ask many questions, I know, but I want to get the best out of all this.
