If you crave easy upgrades to go fast and don't mind the look of the EVO get the EVO. If you want a real sports car get the 350Z. But what do I know. I own a G35 6MT with no options. I needed a 4 door 350Z. Hate me if you want.

ITs taking to long to come out for me because i wanted another car this year (07). Obviously not mitsu's fault, i'm just venting. Also they discontinued the IX so no evo's for a year. I know the airbag issue is what caused the IX to disappear, or so i heard, but i just wish mitsu had the X now. Also am not to excited to buy a first year model brand new X with new tech/engine. So the wait would be even longer.

Thats interesting that these hp/tq numbers are confirmed, sounds like the X will be a beast! Only time will tell to see if it can be tuned as easy as the IX. I saw the Lancer at the auto show today and it looked pretty good, not nearly as aggresive as the concept X but i'm sure the evo X will look better. I'll probably just end up getting another Z to be honest. Can't wait two years for a car.

 

Ah, OK. I wouldn't get a first run either. The IX wasn't discontinued because of an airbag problem (don't know where you got that from) and there's still plenty out there. Also, the numbers on the X aren't confirmed, but they should be close to that.

Seriously, go with the '07 Z. You'll have fun with it, trust me.

I was reading on Evolutionm.net when i was researching evos, and there were a couple threads stating that mitsu had to stop selling the IX in the states b/c all cars must have side airbags from 2007 on.
