Default Spun out last night.

Kinda strange... I spun my 05 Z (Auto) in an intersection last night, and after the car came to a stop some of the dash warning lights were on and the transmission wouldn't engage until I turned the car off and restarted. It was fine the rest of the drive home.

What was that all about?

Probably TCS and/or VDC, and Slip. Happens when you spin your tires too much. Happens when I do doughnuts!

Just because you're an atheist, doesn't mean God still can't be pissed at you. Kidding, kidding.

I've never been in a AT, but do you have a TCS button? I assume you do, but i'm not sure.

I was driving to work Sat Morning on wet roads and a guy pulls out of a gas station across my lane while Im about to go through an intersection. I was going 35 when I noticed he was about to hit me.

The street had a lot of small bumps and I negotiated around his dumbass braking/steering controllably but the ABS was working hard with the bumps throwing the suspension. The motor that disengages the brake pedal was whirring for about 20 seconds after that deal.

RobDeep, we only had like an inch or more yesterday, do you have the sh!tenzas on your z? If so, maybe thats why you spun around.

^Yeah, the stock Potenzas seem to try to make you slip. My rears are basically bald now too...I slide a loooot. Did when they had more tread left too. Ordered new (not Potenza) tires yesterday

Oh no doubt, my tires didn't help. Sh!tenza's indeed. I was on my way home from the city, luckily no one was around in the intersection where I lost it The road was especially slick though

you just gotta be careful, this is why i don't drive my z until march. I saw some kids with their hooked-up honda civic on the ditch on naper/ogden rd last nite , but it was indeed, very slippery.

Lightbulb Exact same thing happened to me...

about 6 months ago. Same scenario, stock tires/auto/tad bit of rain/turn and I really didn't punch it at all. Did a 180 to the right then one to the left and straightened back out. It scared the hell out of me because it felt so random (was definitely unexpected).

Try to be conservative on all turns in the rain on stocks. If you're going five over then go the speed limit. If you're going the limit then take it easy. It has never happened to me before while driving or since but it was scary nonetheless.

Be careful out there.

And a strong tread line in the center for exceptional grip.
