I am sorry to hear about all of the trouble you have gone through with this. I hope whatever the outcome this guy learns not to pull this crap again.

Here is what I would do:
1) Get with the credit card/debit card company and advise them of the situation.
2) Advise paypal and ask for their help. They do monitor the real name for new account possibilities.
3) Contact the fourm moderator and see if they will give you any information on the seller...His IP address, his entered name and/or information. You never know what you may find using the internet and a small amount of information
4) Since he used the forum to do this via the internet, file and internet crime report with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). It is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). They are at: www.ic3.gov
Make sure you have all of your information printed.
5) You can also file an internet crim report with your local state police. In the state of Florida go to: www.fdle.state.fl.us/Fc3/fraud.html
6) I would also file a report with the State Police for the State the seller says he lives in because if he is caught and it goes over state lines, it is an automatic felony if he is convicted under a charge of theft by trickery. These types stick with this type of crime so there are some chances that he may get caught...maybe not right away, but if he does, you may get some vindication.
7) If all else fails, throw the boys in the back of the pick up, fill the cooler with a few days worth and load the 30-06 and keep repeating "may the Lord bless his soul cause his A** belongs to me.
Good Luck!

WOw just read all 10 + pages and I wish more could be done here...........Sucks, I swear this place is becoming harder and harder
to trust when it comes to transactions because of idiots such as Mr. Gonzalez. I hope you have forwarded all the info including this link for the forums to the Dallas PD and your's as well, you should take him to court.....small claims court. You have enough evidence with the emails of false UPS tracking numbers etc.

You know, if he did file a report with the authorities, you would have been contacted and interviewed for making a terroist threat. If he did, his information would be on file and you would be able to file a crime report against him since his true identity is now known. If you can prove he lied on his report, now that is another count of filing a false police report and suppling false information to peace officer. Now you have 3 possible counts against him.
Contact his local police dept. and ask to speak to a watch Sgt. Give him a brief description of what has transpired can tell him what the seller sent you. Ask if such a report was made. If not, see if they will help you with nailing this guy.
If you have not already, print out every email you have and copy everything you have pertaining to this. You can contact the district attorney's office for the area he lives in and mail them your documentation (pics too) supporting your position and ask them to look into your case. Each office has their own investigators and they may do something if they see how much work you have put into this and the amount of documentation he has to support your accusations.
If all else fails, perhaps you make a threat against him and get arrested. You file a charge of theft by trickery against him and he gets arrested. Put you both in the cell and last man standing wins.
Or, perhaps that's not such a good idea.....

I received an email from the seller today saying that he is pursuing legal action against me because I threatened him with violence?
He also cites that I publicly posted his personal information and that I asked everyone here to contact him and threaten him.
For the record, I'm not stupid enough to contact him and threaten him with violence. Nowhere in this thread did I ask anyone to contact him, nor was I the first to publicly post his contact information.
Sigh. I will keep working with the police.

Sorry to keep everyone in the dark. I last heard from Mr. Gonzales on Monday, April 2nd. He claimed to ship the remaining two items, and was going to give the tracking info for it. I have hounded him on it, but no reply. He shut off his cell phone. His last claim was that I should receive them today. UPS has come and gone. He is lying, again, in front of the police.
I hold no concerns about his threats of legal action. Its weaksauce to say the least. I am continuing my own legal action and will post if I find out anything new.
So, I currently have a Nismo mid-pipe (I opened it and confirmed it) that cost me a whopping 631$ after pay-pal's reimbursement.
Edit: I have sent an email to both the seller as well as the police requesting a refund. I don't want to hassle with the exhaust lies anymore.
