Alright, as some of you may have read in my earlier introduction already know, I am looking at a Z. My questions to all of those who know this stuff is:
A. Do the power seats go lower, farther back, etc. than the normal manual ones.
B. Is the heated leather nice, worth it?
C.For those who are auto owners, do you just let it go, or do you physically shift yourself?
D.Oh, and how does the Bose audio system sound?
E. Is the ride as harsh as everyone as everyone pisses and moans about on unsmooth pavement?
Any answers will be appreciated. Thanks!

B. The heated seats are situational. Are they worth it? Depends on what you define "worth" being. Personally, I do like them even though I don't tend to use them all that often. Just knowing they are there and ready to use at any time is nice I suppose.
C. ..sigh..no sports car should be auto..just my opinion though.
D. It's a factory sound system. Not bad, but definately could be improved if you care THAT much.
E. It's not a bad ride, overall it's pretty decent.
A. Dont know
B. If its cold out, hell ya they are.
C. Who cares, even my mom drives a stick.
D. Ok with a better head unit installed.
E. Harsh ride??? not in my car , till i stiffen it up a bit.

okay i have a 03 enthu and my mother has a 04 touring rodie,
i like my cloth seats much better then her leather ones, i just dont like how they fell and i like how i sit in mine much better.
when its cold omg heated seats kick ***
im not a fan of the auto matic thing its just weird and i like the control i have in my 6 speed
yeah the audio is good but not as good as aftermarket stuff
the ride is not that rough (i came from a lifted truck) but i like feeling the road i drive on :-)

A. No idea, I'm assuming it should be near the same
B. Its awesome when cold out
C. You can still manual shift (clutchlessly). Mine's AT and it doesn't bother me...usually drive in MT mode anyway.
D. I think its great. I can't stand bumpity-bump systems that shake the neighborhood. The bass isn't too strong and isn't too weak.
E. Only moronic magazine writers **** and moan about the ride. I don't notice a "harsh" ride at all...it feels like a sports car. Isn't that what its supposed to be?

I have an 03 Touring and from my experience:
A - comfy seats. I simply like them, but everyone who's rode in my car has raved about how awesome the seats are.
B - I have heated leather and I like it quite a bit.
C - I have the auto and I let it go. All tiptronic type transmissions I have ever encountered are very slow shifters, and not smooth either. They're ok to play with in a rental car, but not something you own.
D - The Bose sucks. I don't mind; I just turn that down and turn up the music coming from the exhaust.
E - ride isn't smooth, but it just depends on what you're expecting. For this one, you're going to have to take one for a spin to be able to answer it for yourself.

I have an 05 touring:
A - Seats work fine i dont think theres a difference
B - the heated seats are a nice luxury and work quite well
C - I've got an auto and i just leave it. When i really just feel like changing it up i might use the manual mode but its not an everyday thing for me.
D - I think its crystal clear but still cheap in many respects. I replaced the sub not for more bass but because my bose sub was blown when i bought the car.
E - I live in michigan so as someone who deals with crappy roads all day i would say the Z is a very brutal ride on rough payment but so are most sports cars. I think it s a bit worse in the Z but i think the 06's and 07's are suppose to be a bit smoother. Its still a great ride you just hate to hit those rough rodes as you feel your beating the hell out of your car.

I have a 04' Touring...
A. They adjust well enough to get comfortable... probably the same without power since there's only so much room for the seats to move in the cabin.
B. I've seen nicer leather... and I've seen much worse. They're a good blend of sport/luxury. (Plus the heated part is a nice bonus for female passengers when it's cold out.)
C. If people have to get auto, then they shouldn't embarrass themselves pretending to change gears with it too.
D. The Bose stereo sounds good... not sure if it lives up to the "BOSE" name, but it sounds a lot better than a lot of other cars.
E. It can be harsh... but who cares? It's like owning a 6-speed.... no fun in traffic, but the rest of the time makes up for it! (I live in/drive in NYC a lot... lots of bad roads/traffic, but that only takes up a small portion of the time behind the wheel. The rest is GREAT.)

A. Not sure about them going further back, but I don't have a problem with them and my comfort level. I am 6'3'', and have the seat pushed up instead of all the way back.
B. If you live up North. I have absolutely no use for them in Florida. They are toasty though.
C. I do both when I want to take control. Mostly, I'll put it into sport mode and shift myself when I am at the drag strip or track. Daily driving I'll use auto most of the time for better mpg.
D. Bose system is the worst. Mine will not even read CD's sometimes, and then other times it works. Brand new it gave me no problems, but after a while it's just bad. The sound quality is nice, of course ... but I might be in for a new head unit soon.
E. When you have a lowly riding sports car, expect to feel every bump in the road. When it rains, and you're going over the wet pavement, it sounds like it's inside the car. (but it's cool at that
) But you'll feel everything and avoid speed bumps for your life.
A. No they dont go further, not that I know of. Just nice to have.
B. Heated seats is great in the cold or even if you want to have your windows open and its breezy, they kick ***. 1 thing I have found is woman really love this feature. They love having there but warm at all times.
C.Personally Auto and Sports car dont match but to each is own. I have been driving stick all my life. I would fall asleep in an Auto. But thats your choice.
D.It sounds good, just needs a little more Bass, witch I will be achieving with a Zenclosure Box and 2 nice 10's.
E.Actually the ride is what it should be its a sports car not a Lexus. After putting the Eibachs Pro Kit springs the car feels so much more cushiony.
