doesnt FEEL as fast?
hey, so i got to drive my uncles 03 touring 6sp on friday. fantastic car btw. the only thing is, i drive an srt4 right now--lookin to sell it and get a Z. But yea, i know both cars are about the same 0-60 and 1/4, but anyone know what im talking about when i say the Z doesnt "feel" as fast as the srt? is there a reason for this? or am i on crack? same thing for the sti, doesnt feel as fast or that much faster. are there any actual reasons for this?
...just curious lol

It might not feel as fast because the frame is stiff, and the suspension is stiff. For me, the "fast feeling" comes from a car shaking, flexing and rocking. Not good. And after upgraded suspension, my Z feels slower, but is much faster.

exactly. your coming from a neon that really doesn't belong doing speeds above 80mph (i think Dodge just has a sick sense of humor) to an actual sports car. My old 98 eclipse gst back in the day felt fast as hell but ran a 15.0

lol, I used to have a SRT4, Mine was pretty fast, faster than my Z but My srt was far from stock. Although I have beaten near stock(WG, CAI, CUTOUT) srt-4's. But I would never go back either. After you drive RWD for a while youll never drive FWD again. My SRT felt really High School

I think also when you get used to a car you know when and where the power kicks in on the powerband....When I took a friend for a ride in my Z he was blown away (intake, exhaust,Plenum spacer, etc) then he got a ride in my friends EVO and said my Z felt faster...My Z 273 WHP Friends EVO 305 WHP.
The point is I know my car better then my buddy with the EVO...When you get used to a car you in a cheesy sense become one with it and can drive it how it should.
Get the Z and drive it for a couple months or however long it takes to really get used to it.

Why are there so many fools on here that say RSX is faster than a Z? I got onto this forum late, so what is the ongoing joke about RSX being such a great car? They certainly are not faster than a Z so why does everyone think they are the Sh*t?

Ok a couple other things too....I was just trying to say that the better you know a car the easier it is to find the high points in the car....
