07 350Z vs 07 S2K vs 06 GTO. Opinions.

s2k is a very fun, and quick little car. handles better than the z, and isnt slow by any means. i myself, wouldnt mind owning one. it just felt too tight to drive personally.

I work at a pontiac dealership and we can't seem to move these GTOs. There has got to be a reason for that...

some do...I know i would be aware of that, but as soon as you step on the gas and sink myself into those comfy seats; it all becomes a blur.

And that car had no speed limiter on it. since the Speed limiter kicks in around 163.

Sorry on the braking, guess I was wrong on ONE item out of all of them I posted. I said the Z handles better, but the GTO isn't horrible.
1/4 time is a toss up since both are getting the same times stock. 0-60 questionable.
A Z has done 13.3 here on the site with a bad clutch.
Take your LS1 experience and shove it up your ***. 350 HP is a lot less than 400 HP. There is no goddamn toss up, are you smoking something? The Z can't TOUCH 4s 0-60, and the GTO does it without a problem. If you want to magazine race, pick one. Some say 4.8 0-60, some say 4.6 0-60 for the GTO. Either way a Z can't touch 4s.
Pick a website, the 400 HP GTO can do the quarter mile in 13 flat. A Z cannot. I don't know where you get your information from, but an LS2 is NOT an LS1. Get it through your damn head. The LS2 GTO is the same weight car, with 15% more HP over the 350 HP GTO. They aren't the same.
A '07 Z will not beat a '06 GTO in the Quarter mile assuming equal drivers. You are on CRACK if you think that is the case.

Well, I have. I had headers and exhaust, he was stock, and wasted me. I have an 03 Z, which clearly doesn't pull like and '07 Z, but sorry, 307 HP vs right around 300 HP isn't going to cover the distance that GTO beat me by. And before you ask, my friend and I are about equal drivers. The only time I pulled on an 400 HP GTO, was from a rolling start at 30 MPH in 7* weather. As you can imagine, the GTO was half sideways from that speed with those road temperatures. When he caught traction at about 70, goodbye. Game over. Have a nice day. Dead Z.

Wow amazing. Your such a idiot. The car on the video HAD no speed limiter. It had a ECU program done. Your TRYING to twist my words for your benefit. The GTO has a speed limiter STOCK. And again I will insert we are talking STOCK not MODDED.
Gearing has no effect on the speed limiter. You hit that certain speed in any gear it will stop you.

You know the old GMC Syclone ran under 5 sec 0-60? If you just want numbers you'd be better off going that way, ugly as sin though. S2K is like riding in a tuna can, Z feels bigger b/c of the hatchback.
oh and Zmazing03 (or w/e) up there is right, Zs don't beat GTOs 1/4 mile. Raced my co-worker, took me out, but people don't look at him with envy when he passes, and my car used costs under 20k, as far as I know his will never cost that much. I don't know a whole lot about price b/c in the long run it's up to you and your wallet, but I'm pretty sure I pulled out the better deal.

Wrong. The GTO can barely do 13s. It's a boat. The Z can do 13.3 obviously for a 07 model. That is faster than a GTO!

I used to own a 71' GTO convertable with a pontiac 400 and I have to say I am ashamed of the new ones, they are nothing but a damn grand prix with some better interior... they are nothing but pieces of poop... Makes me sad to what an awesome muscle car is now portrayed as. I would never in my life buy a pontiac again!
