Damn..... the NY one is full already? I have been wanting to do something like this but the driving/racing schools cost mad loot. I know it may not be as good, but it is better than nothing and an awesome price.

I wonder if you can go and still take the three courses they are offering and just not compete?

We went to the revitup series out here in cali. It was really fun and the practice courses are nicely set up. We did find that the autocross timed course is short meaning the techniques you learn at the other practice areas may adversely affect your times. We found it was better just to step on it and fly.

If you get the chance do it...they were several people out here who said they registered at other places during the series and were taking road trips just to participate elsewhere.

But can you participate in the courses even if the event registration is full? And not compete of course.

I did the Norcal one when it was up here. Great way to spend a Saturday. You even get a hat as a part away gift. I always owned rear wheel drive car so it was quite an eye opening experience for me try to drive the front wheel drive Mazda 6 through the autox course!!
Well worth it, but be prepare to wait in long *** lines though....

I don't think you can...once you go there and confirm registration, they give you a identification pass that you wear around your neck. And they hole punch this pass to count how many times you've gone through the practice and autocross courses as you are limited to how many runs you make.

You can drive the go-karts and they have a test drive area for new mazda cars like the mazdaspeed protege which don't require a pass.
