Default On the verge of getting a 350Z..

Guys,

Im from Singapore. Need some help, so hope the gurus here can help me out. Just deposited a 350Z. its a 03 make but registered in Oct/2004, meaning it has been on the road since only OCt 2004. Wad are the things l shd look out for?

Some questions l have:
1)Mine is a 6MT, has brembo, so isit considered touring or enthusiast or?

2)What kind of maintenance shd l be looking out for? like how often do l have to go for servicing? Do l have to top up the engine oil often?(Cos l heard for RX8 u need to top up the engine oil very often urself)

3)Im currently on Bose system. If there any way to change the stock head unit? Cos l dun think l can survive long without my mp3s. Or is there any way to attach mp3 capability to the head unit?

4)Wad is the clear bra u guys r toking abt?

5)any good and cheap mods l can go for?

Tks.

shouldnt have to add much oil. if you have the bose headunit then it will play mp3 cd's 6 of them. Clear bra is to cover your front bumper and part of hood etc. to keep chips from occering just search clear bra. POP charger mrev2 5/16th spacer are good mods to start off with.

1. Your car is a track edition if it comes with brembos.

2. Maintenance on our cars is pretty easy. Since yours was manufactured in 03, look out for tire feathering, transmission issues (3rd gear syncro mostly) and window grease streaks.

3. I didn't think that the track had bose sound system, but here is a great ipod connector for you stock head unit. Works great and has great sound transmission. http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=701

4. My car a 3M clear bra on the hood, this protects from rock chips, just google it.

5. JWT popcharger is a good first mod, simple and cheap, after that get a plenum spacer.

Look up the Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for the 03 model. Since it's an 03 model, almost all the problems should have been addressed by the previous owner, but you never know.
Invest in some detailing products. I like Zaino

Are these easily replaced once they are dirty and chipped up. Or maybe they're more durable and permant? Just curious b/c I looked at a GC with one and it looked really bad... Dirty and all chipped up from rocks. The salesman said it was an Infiniti factory installation.

They're pretty durable. Regular rock chips shouldn't leave marks on the film:

I believe it was only the 06 and 07 that were able to play MP3's on the Bose unit. I know my 04' 350zr doesn't play MP3's.

please use proper grammar/spelling and not typical singlish...

I was from Singapore too and nothing annoys me more than:
wan (one)
tok (talk)
wad (what)

plus...if you used the search button, all your questions will instantly be answered..
