Has anyone gotten a oil change at the Nissan dealer?

I've always taken my cars to a regular oil changing place. A couple weeks ago I was at a dealership checking out the nismo z and figured since I was there, I might as well get my oil changed. Not only was it cheaper than the place I went to for just an oil change, but I also got a VERY thorough wash and vacuum. Someone also told me that on certain days they rock out to some guitar hero. I'm sold!

I have always done them myself but when I bought the Z I started just using the dealer. It's around $50-$60 I think and it's worth it to me to not sweat. I sweat everyday at work and dont want to anymore at home.

sure i did, but it was the first one, i figured they would check everything out on my new car, which they did and i'm glad. Obviously $80 is way too much money for an oil change and i'll def. change my own oil now.

Hell, my first oil change at the dealer was free/complimentary... never had any problems with oil changes at the dealerships, but for anything else, especially tires... i'd rather shoot myself than go to the dealer.... changing your own oil also does not void your warranty.... as a matter of fact I would call changing your own oil peace of mind... I'd rather know it's done right. changing the oil in the Z is a little more of a pain in the *** than in a regular car...because it's so low and all the bolts you have to remove... but it's still pretty easy and worth doing yourself.

Dealer did my first change for free, I did the 2'nd one as I was changing over to Amsoil. Found the filter was barely finger tight and had dripped a bit. Have not been back to dealer since except for 3 warranty items. I do my own inspections on a more regular basis than 3000 miles anyway and check it from stem to stern at every oil change, and keep all receipts as well as my own maintenance log in a binder.

Just buy some Rhino Ramps and do it yourself. It is soooo easy and you will save tons of money.

I only have to pay 16bux but i got a VIP card right when I first bought my car cause the customer service manager bought a Z the same day I did and we drove them all day and had lunch and ****, which is probably why they are mod friendly to only me and not the other highly modded Z here in Amarillo lol he has to pay for EVERYTHING full price

I bought a lifetime oil change plan. It costs around $300, which is the equivalent of 10 oil changes (I'm on oil change #12, so it paid for itself 6 months ago). You guys are getting ripped if you're paying more than $50. No way in hell is an oil change worth that. Just do it yourself if that's the case. Learn how to be a man, it's not that hard (I do my old honda on the driveway). You ladies, get a man, and love him for getting dirty for you.
